Just select the object you want to focus on, shift-h mate. same thing but no need invert. I find this a little quicker.❤

Or you can use “/“ button from numpad without inverting

I do that in Brick rigs and it does the same, gosh its amazing to have the same controls everywhere

or, hear me out, just press shift-H to isolate the selection. Alt-H to unhide all.

I usually do this technique when working with multiple bits of mesh data inside one object.
