Hey Will, thank you very informative. I have an Environmental Management Degree as well as a Masters Level (7) in Occupational Safety Health and Environment. I have had a career break for a couple of years this has now affected me getting back into HSE. Mangers do no want to employ me due to my break and not enough experience.

Hi sir,
I have worked on the oil and gas rigs for over a decaded. Started my career as a labourer and worked my way up as technician/Driller.Along the way i assited the Rig safety officer in various ways hazard hunting, incident investigations, training new staff, completing various safety permits that are required on a rig, aduits and so on.I decided to do my NEBOSH Ngc which start next week. If i do pass the exam will my experience in the oil and gas rig help me get a job in the health and safety department as im looking to start my career in HSE . Pls advice

Got my Nebosh General, Nebosh Construction Management and doing my Nebosh Fire shortly.
Although I have over 30 years Retail Management experience, getting my foot in the door is hard as my experience in doing Health & Safety in a number of retail environments and sizes along with different layouts including within shopping centres is not being acknowledged and keep getting advised to get more experience.
Any guidance?
