Much love from this Roman Catholic to our friends in Orthodoxy.

As an inquirer years ago, I was indifferent towards Mary… I found myself alone in hospital, near death, and I prayed ‘Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee’… I may not have said all the words correctly - but when I said pray for me now and in the hour of my death — I felt a gentle touch resting on my shoulder, and such an embrace of love - all fear subsided and my love for the Theotokos just blossomed. I am no longer indifferent towards her. She is so lovely. Ironically, I had emergency surgery yesterday - and this time I felt no fear. I am never alone. That’s a beauty in the life of an Orthodox Christian — the reality of being connected to all saints who are alive in Christ…. Mary definitely shows up in our hour of need. Of that, I am convinced.

Father, I’m Catholic. I pray that God may continue to bless you with charity. I l or the rosary and I don’t imagine a thing because I’m in too much peace to even think or imagine. My mother, a granddaughter of a martyr, ( my great grandfather was killed for being Catholic by the atheist government during the cristeros) has always prayed the rosary. I used to hate it and I disliked it. Perhaps a it was because of my history. My earthly father abandoned us for a time and left with another woman. My mother never stopped praying the rosary. When my father returned asking for forgiveness my mother asked me to give my father a kiss on the cheek and hug him. The following morning she cooked for him, washed his clothes. I was in deep pain and thought that my mother was insane and too naive. But now that I looks back on it as an adult. I see saw Jesus Christ in my mother. She carries her rosary everywhere at first I was embarrassed but now I admire her love for Jesus and Our Blessed Mother

I'm Catholic, I pray the rosary everyday. It is my refuge for the day.
Interesting to hear the full explanation of the Eastern version. I've talked to some Byzantine Rite Catholics who do this version but I wasn't able to get a full deep dive on it.

God bless you all. Pray for us, Holy Mother of God.

I'm a Turkish Catholic who attends Armenian Rite Catholic Church and I pray daily Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet and Jesus Prayer with my Rosary beads since I have not a prayer rope yet but I hope I'll have one soon 😄 I also try to repeat Jesus Prayer as much as I can in a day while doing anything.

Thank you for this video, Father. With all due respect to your faith and your thoughts, I would like to correct you in a humble way. When we pray the Rosary, we think about the mysteries because it allows us to reiterate important events in the Bible. In the Catholic tradition, instead of the term imagination that you use, we use the terms contemplation and meditation. So it would be more accurate to say that we are trying to feel closer to Our Lady and Jesus by contemplating the mysteries, not as if we were talking about a personal creation.

As a Protestant, I love and pray for my Orthodox and Catholic brothers in Christ. I love learning more about the various beliefs. We all love and serve one Triune God.

Roman Catholic here. This is Potayto-Potato stuff... Just pray your 'Rosary', whatever you know. The Enemy enjoys it when we waste time on our differences. His intention is to divide. Remember, we were once united under one apostolic 'catholic' (universal) Church. Mary, Mother of God, pray for all of us.

I was so happy to find a rosary tradition within Orthodoxy many years ago when I became Orthodox from Protestant. I pray with my Catholic Grandmother's rosary using a trifold pamphlet I wrote with all the meditations in it. Glad to see more Orthodox being exposed to it and, hopefully, praying it.

It was after I had started to pray the Rosary, that I felt thirst and hunger for God. He brought me back to the church through the most holy Theotokos. It's a wonderful prayer rule. Thanks for the video ❤❤❤

I was drawn to Orthodoxy by the Jesus prayer. I had no peace in my life. It was desperation. I embraced the Rosary following St Seraphim rule. Thank you for this

I'm Orthodox and I was just having this discussion with my Catholic husband today, so this came at the perfect time! God bless you, Fr. Truebenbach 🙏🏼.

We don’t “imagine” the events of our Lord in the rosary….we meditate on them.

This is very timely, Father, thank you! I am a new Orthodox catechumen and just starting to get used to asking for intercessions from the Theotokos. During the Dormition fast this month, the Theotokos was very much on my mind, almost like she was calling to me. I was learning ways to pray for her intercessions and I began to feel drawn to the rosary but wasn’t sure if I could pray it. This video is a great comfort to me and I will try to start incorporating this prayer rule when I can🙏🏻

I am a former Roman Catholic and have been Orthodox for 15 years now. I still pray the Scriptural Rosary every day. It is very powerful ☦️

As a protestant looking into orthodoxy, I will need to listen this several times. I appreciate Fr. Paul's explanation!

Our similarities are greater than our differences, as a catholic I've learned invaluable spiritual insights from the writings of the Eastern Fathers. I hope the Orthodox brothers also look into the riches from the Catholic side of Christendom.
