I am pretty sure you have it reversed lol, prostrations are very common in Orthodoxy which precedes Islam by at least 600 years. So its more accurate to say that Muslims pray like we do, sans Orans, Metanias and standing prayer.

This is a Tradition that have been perserve from the early Church from Judaism and later adopted by Islam. Shalat is not new in Christoanity specially if you are an Orthodox Christianity..

They don't pray like muslims, muslims pray like them. Christianity is a slighter older religion than islam

Islam nowadays prayer just as Jesus :
Quran 3:43 "O Virgin Mary, be obedient to your Lord, and prostrate and bow down with those who bow [in worship]."

Ancient Jews Prayer:
Ezekiel 44:4 "Then brought he me the way of the north gate before the house: and I looked, and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD: and I fell upon my face (prostrate)."
Genesis 24:26: "And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the LORD."

Ancient Chistian Prayer:
Mark 14:35 "And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground (prostrate), and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him."
Mathew 26:39 "And he went a little further, and fell on his face (prostration), and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt."
Revelation 7:11 "And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces (prostration), and worshipped God, "

Yh but, fact- muslims came way after orthodox tewahedo. So more like they were children of the church but then they left and took some off its gifts

The title of this vid is completely anachronistic because the Ethiopian Orthodox pray so because in ancient days the Jews in Israel prayed thus. Islam and hence islamic prayer positions came many, many centuries later ... !!!!

It's actually opposite. The Muslim people ate praying like us the Orthodox Christians. We have been praying like this since Jesus walked on this earth. Muslim people started to pray same as us 600 years after our Lord resurrected.
Amin

Since Christian Orthodoxy came before Islam, it is more correct to say Muslims pray like Christian Orthodox.

You can pray to God in many different positions be it standing, kneeling, bowing down head to the floor etc. this is less important . What muslims in islam are totally missing is praying with your mind and heart, prayer is supposed to come from the heart this is the only way the Lord accepts it as sincere, sadly muslims recite verses from the quran or out of memory simply speaking words but those dont come from their heart no feelings involved, Christ said those who pray and hope they will be heard for their many words will have their reward indeed, meaning they will not be rewarded with blessings but what they deserve, prayers ate from the inside NOT what stance or body position you take

We Christians also call God Father. Do we still pray like Muslims?

And by the way, our faith precedes Islam by approximately 600 years. We don’t pray like you, you pray like us!

Actually it's the other way around.
