Crises can often not be anticipated, and it is very likely that throughout our lives we will have some impasses, and that is why it is extremely important to have an emergency fund that will serve as a lifeline.

I'm military who lives in the barracks and does Uber Eats as a side hustle. I'm also single no kids no debt. I have a 60/20/20 rule: invest 60%, save 20%, live off of 20%. Because I stockpiled so much money over the years, buying a new car after getting into a wreck is more of a minor annoyance and I STILL have $12k saved.
