Investigation - Ayrton Senna - Imola 1994 -Crash

Here I try to demonstrate my point that the steering failed. I used Assetto Corsa and ACFL Williams, and took two pictures right where Ayrton went off the track, I turned steering all the way to the left for one pic and one with steering straight.

There is probably another key evidence with onboard footage when he turns all the way to left, and tyres do not move, which can be simulated in Assetto Corsa there are people who state the car lost down force, or a tire blew or it bottomed out, I just can't see it.

The wheel should of turned and the only reason why it could not turn in my opinion was steering failure. Front tires face it's steering direction, if they were locked to the left the tires would be facing the track path or technically looking at the camera also.

You could easily simulate this in real-life, with remote technology, someone builds the bend, car goes at 310km, then the steering breaks. It's just amazing, the conclusion on Senna's death, remains "clouded", but in reality in my opinion, there is no desire by others to remove the clouds to see whats behind them.

He’s already resigned to the fact he’s going to crash as he leaves the track, because he turns his head to the left to brace himself for impact. You can see this on the slo-mo.
If Senna had any kind of control, he’d have tried to steer away from the wall.
Steering failure for sure.

You could clearly see it on the onboard as well, left hand tyre went straight all of a sudden before the image cut away.

The steering wheel was replace night before.. put some weak material in the middle.. and broke on Sunday.. Ayrton tried move on the left and brake hard reducing 310km/h to 216km/h when he hit against the wall...no more to say

What Williams has said, and based on the data was there was a snap of oversteer before he went off. This you can see from the HD onboard from the movie.

I recommend looking at similar incidents when someone overcorrects at speed and goes off the track.

I also recommend people consider what a car pulling 3-4 G in the corner on asphalt can do bouncing across grass and gravel.

The logic being used to say it was clearly the steering does not line up.

the possible explanation (reaserch done by the FIA) shows that the williams had a terrible issue, his hands rubbed onto the car making him peeling all his knunckles; he asked to lengthen the steering wheel base so he could get more comfortable.
The base was lenghten by 26 centimiters off the real length with a steel pipe and poorly welded. Senna had no clue what could've happened...
30th april: Imola, Italy: Its 2 days before the race Roland Ratzenberger was doing some laps to memorize the scheme and all the turns of the track, although the circuit was not utilized for 2 whole years and the asphalt conditions, the race could've been held equally.
Exiting the pits and approaching a random corner, BOOM! Roland Ratzenberger hit a curb and sent him out of the track straight into a barrier.
around 35 minutes later the comunications from the hospital were utterly disappointing:"Ratzenberger is dead."
You could've seen the fear in Ayrton eyes and he reunited all the drivers to cancel the race and discussing about the condition of the track, But nothing could do. The race was equally disputed.
1st may 1994: Imola, Italy: it was the seventh lap and Senna was approaching the fastest corner of the whole circuit when in the point where was attached the
Ayrton Senna felt a void in his hands, and only thing that he could do was....Bracing for impact...
Around 1 hour later: "Ayrton Senna morreu""Morreu Ayrton Senna" Said the brazilian commentator.
Everyone was heartbroken...
The only hypotesis of his death was an homicide, and the case was closed.
It was later found out that could've been a part of the car, noticing the big dent on his helmet.
I hoped you liked this little story :(
R.I.P Ayrton Senna.

Os caras arrumaram todas as desculpas pra tirar as peças de segurança do carro da Williams, transformando o melhor carro da temporada em uma carroça cheia de problemas, causando até a morte e acidentes de outros pilotos até chegar no Senna. Imundos...

i agree the wheels look straight, the steering column broke is what i believe... why no locked brakes, continuous puff of tire smoke?

Yeah could indicate broken steering column I guess we are guessing.

I really hope the case is solved and wrongdoers put to justice someday.

This is why the bottoming out theory is wrong. Yes, a car can go straight on when it bottoms out regardless of the position of the wheels but it doesn't stop the front wheels physically turning.
Looking at high speed Oval crashes onboard videos, the front wheels are always visibly hard locked left by the drivers and move left, not staying straight. The car goes straight on but the front tyres are visibly fully locked left.

In Senna's crash, for all the time he had left on the track the front wheels stay straight and don't move from that position.

It is obvious that the wheels did not turn and stayed firmly forward, and even then, it cannot be determined what happened or if the steering had a problem. If the wheel had turned the car would have moved in another direction, that is clear. The car went squarely against the wall because it didn't respond to the curve for some unclear reason
The car lost control almost at the moment of hitting the sand off the track while the driver's head became more noticeable leaning to the left side (perhaps that detail was something totally normal). CLARIFICATION: The car does not hit fully from the front, it did it almost by its right lateral tip and the first thing that was damaged was the entire system of the right wheel

Berger had an identical crash a few years before at the exact same sport. Was a tricky and bumpy corner taken at high speed. Impossible to tell either way.
