‘To Cripple Putin’s war…’: West unleashes SWIFT bans on Russia over Ukraine invasion

The United States & European nations agreed to impose crippling financial penalties on Russia over its Ukraine invasion. The president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said the allies would stop Russia from ‘using its war chest’. “We commit to ensuring that a certain number of Russian banks are removed from SWIFT. This will ensure that these banks are disconnected from the international financial system, and harm their ability to operate globally.” She added, “We will stop (Russian President, ed) Putin from using his war chest. We will paralyse the assets of Russia's central bank. This will freeze its transactions, and it will make it impossible for the central bank to liquidate assets.” Watch the full video for more.

It's not wise to fight without preparation. Ukraine trusted West n USA blindly. A simple word NO to Nato would have saved it and could get some time to prepare for full scale war. ISRAEL is example ' it has great defense in especially in Air. Even a kid doesn't go to exam without preparing. What was the problem in saying a tactical NO to the Nato.

Wait a minute. Since they are so interconnected, won't these measures harm the EU just as much? In their anger, they forgot how reliant they are on Russia. After the economic stress of Covid for 2 solid years, they will FALL WITH RUSSIA. This is a mistake. They should have focused on arming and providing economic help to Ukraine.

One is called SPFS, and was started by Russian Central Bank launched in 2014 when the world threatened to cut the country off SWIFT due to the annexation of Ukraine's peninsula Crimea.

The main and real reason for Russia to invade Ukraine is that Russia is very concernin about its "National Security" and wants Ukraine remains as a "nuetral" country. But the Ukraine government officials want the US government's money and wants to join the NATO. The US government is the one country should be responsible for this Russian attack Ukrane war. See reason below:
1. The US government is doing all along trying to encircle Russia with NATO countries and the last country the US needed is Ukranie.
2. Once Ukraine become a memeber of the NATO, US will equip it with missile and/or nuclear weapons and all pointing to Russia. Right at Russia's door steps.
3. During the 13-day political and military standoff in October 1962 over the installation of nuclear-armed Soviet missiles on Cuba, just 90 miles from U.S. shores. The US government almost and would start a war with Russia for the reason of US National Security. Fortunately behind the scene, the US and the Russia agreed on the settlement of if Russia back off the Soviet missiles on Cuba then the the US also agreed to remove those missiles install at Turkey that was pointing to Russia. I knew, I got called up by the US army for that Cuba Missiels crisis and was waiting at the the train to be deployed.
4. Actually Putin already let Biden know about the reason for possible attack Ukrane during a news interview, BUT Biden did not want to hear and to know Putin's reason is actually for the Russia country security (if Ukranine joined the NATO, that was US government, Biden is pushing for all along, then the US will be equipped Ukrane with missiles and/or with nuclear weapons all pointing to Russia, right at the Russia's door steps) Instead, the US government, Biden, keeps give out misinformation about the Russia military built up at the Russia and Ukrane border and fanny the war.
So, Biden is one who should be blame and/or take the responsibility for the Russia to attack on Ukrane. All Russia wants is that Ukrane to stay as a neutral country. But the Ukrane top corrupted government officails want the money from the US government is refused Russia demand and want to join the NATO, that also is what Biden wanted. So, in conclusion, the US government, Biden, should be the one who responsible for the war in Ukrane and Biden should be tried for the war crime for Russia invading Ukrane.
