Putin had already said from the very beginning that he was prepared for any consequences. So I don't think he did not predict these sanctions. Only 15 to 20 percentage of total Russian economy was dependent on dollars and I don't think these mere sanctions are gonna crumble their economy. It might give them some bumpy rides in near future but speaking for the long term, I think Russians are equipped well enough to bounce back with another country in hand.(I am assuming they are gonna fully take over Ukrain as per current scenario unless NATO immediately signs Ukrain as a member country and sends troops to fight the Russian soldiers)
