"How can we convince an atheist that God exists?"

Bring the best evidence that you have.

Nothing in this video mentioned anything that counts as good evidence, so you are still a long way off.

- Lets start by not using evidence that used in the same manner wouldn't convince you of any other god.
- Secondly, don't misrepresent the atheist. Why would someone listen to you if you stereotype them?
- Thirdly, don't gaslight the atheist. Why would any atheist listen to you if you quote stuff like Romans 1:18 and forward?
- Don't oversell your evidence and position. Don't say that there are 300 fulfilled prophecies about Jesus when most of it is just poetic language and irrelevant prophecies.

Love you too but that doesn't convince me a god exists

You talk about how atheists are the people who have been traumatised. But that's just not true. The reason that I don't believe that a god exists is because I did not just believe in religious scriptures. I started out thinking that I know nothing.

I am not saying that God does not exist. I am saying that there is no reason to believe that God exists. That is a possibility, and it may be the only possibility that explains everything. But extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, which I have not seen.

We may never know. But the unknown is, if anything, more interesting than knowing everything. We are the Universe trying to understand itself, and the universe is under no obligation to reveal itself.

If you are claiming a God exists that interacts with our Universe, then providing valid and sound arguments in addition to evidence that in total is sufficient to warrant belief is what would convince me. What is mentioned in this video would not work at all, as you can find caring people who are Catholic, Muslim, Mormons, Scientologists, Wiccans, Paganists, etc. Just because someone is being kind and caring towards you and speaks about what their beliefs are does not automatically mean that their beliefs are true.

What this demonstrates to me is that believers have no reasonable way of talking to non-believers. I can’t speak for all of us, but why is being convinced on an intellectual and pragmatic level so difficult? You’d think the level of evidence for a maximally powerful being who wants a personal relationship with everyone would be abundant and undeniable. It would be expected to at least rise above the level of reasonable doubt. It’s so frustrating. I wish believers would stop tossing out these weak argument or quoting meaningless scripture. Personal revelation, either true or perceived, is the only way to convince non-believers. Unless they’re the kind of person who has a psychological predisposition to belief. Honestly, I think that’s the most important factor. Believing what is intuitively true is in our genes. But what’s intuitively true is not always what is demonstrably true. That seems to be the case with the Christian god. I am totally willing to believe, but every believer I hear talk on the point of conversion or proof drives me further away.

Well I watch the video, I did not hear anything that would convince me of a deity, much less a particular one... But if anyone has any reason to believe that I am willing to listen... Feel free to hit me up with a reply to this comment... I hope everyone has a wonderful day

You suggest that atheists may have suffered some sort of trauma in their childhood. Maybe, but I think not. When I was in high school, my entire English Lit class loved this line of poetry: "I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul." It wasn't that we wanted to go out and do evil things but we did want the authority to live however we wished to live. We wanted out from parental authority and God's authority. But one cannot accept God's love but not His authority so we have to choose. Many of us rejected our faith and once that decision is made, bias confirmation builds walls to defend it.

With the same amount of evidence that it would take to convince me unicorns exist. I do not use a double standard of belief.
