You had me in the first half, I'm not gonna lie. I was wondering where his information was wrong, because it very closely matched with what I thought to be true about bible canon.

I'm gonna harass this creator for doing such a good job.

Glad I'm not the only person who was wondering what could possibly be wrong with this content 😅 Dan got us good!

Seeing Pete in the thumbnail had me real worried. Relieved he was on the mark - seems like he usually is.

Now I'm blue in the face. 98 seconds of holding my breath for a stitch that didn't come!

Ahh dang it, I was all ready for my favorite bible boys to duke it out on TikTok.

Okay, I'll admit I was about halfway through that before I figured out what was going on.
Well played, Dan 😅

Nice. I was trying to find what mistake he was making.

When I hear a "let's hear it, " I expect something crazy to follow. Not this time, apparently! I went ahead and registered for the class. See you on the 6th!

It's nice to see a video where another creator is getting it right. Off the wall question, but do you ever get a little tired of saying, "Okay, let's see it." I'm a chemistry teacher and as much as I love my students and subject there are times when I get tired of saying, c'mon guys, a mole is just like a dozen only a much bigger number than 12.

Great vid. Feels noteworthy that the Counsel of Rome should be included in there

I was on the edge, but no interjections in first few seconds gave it away.

@dan: Why does your website url differ from your name?

How do we know church (re:people) made the canon? Well, you could start by counting the number of books in the Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, and Coptic Bibles. Then ask yourself, why are all these numbers different? Edit: almost forgot the Book of Mormon, which is canon for LDS and FLDS members.

My amateurish remark would be on the use of the word "finalized" at 0:40.
Finalized would imply an intended, predetermined, final version.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, since English isn't my native tounge.

Lol, I was getting a little nervous as it all sounded really good to me 😅

Dan, when did the Septuagint reach a final form?

I think your website is broken. There only seems to be the option to pay $25 and the contact isn't working.

So the man turns to the last standing Pharisees in the AD 90s to say the canon was formalized. He just disqualified any self proclaimed authority he said he had😂. What an ignoramus.

Still today different Jewish groups have different canons. The Beta Israel (Ethiopian Jews) recognize books like Enoch or Jubilee as canonical. It seems to me that th ebigger th edistance to Jerusalem/Rome the bigger the probabilty of the formation of a differnt canon. The stance of "one canon to rule them all" is still a mythical stance.
