I’m so glad that I did my research! I went to one dentist and he immediately wanted to pull out all 4 premolars of my daughter, one never came in. I ended up finding you guys after calling about 10 orthodontist who didn’t take our insurance. My daughter started her treatment with you guys and will only need to get the 1 premolar out that never came in because it has no root. I am so glad I did my research because I was so against pulling any teeth out! She didn’t even have any crowding, she has gaps in all her teeth. I showed her this video and she told me “good job mom” for not letting the first orthodontist pull that many teeth out. I guess points for me.

This is extremely refreshing. I currently have an open-bite and my orthodontist 🦷 recommended that I have 4 extractions. I really don’t want to have my teeth removed.

9 months ago I was told to extract two upper teeth and it was one of the worst decisions in my life. It caused my face to look sunk in, have no support, my upper lip disappeared and my nose looked bigger.
Today I had a consultation with another specialist orthodontist and I was told extractions was not necessary.
Worst mistake of my life getting extractions but I’m so happy I found a good specialist orthodontist to help fix this damage.

She looks fine and better without extraction. Should have avoided extraction. Only people with striking protrusion should consider extraction. If only I could afford the treatment, I would be overly contented to have a feature (mouth/lips area) like hers (original). I look quite normal from the front, but from the side my protuding teeth look so sticking out. Even if I zip my lips, my mouth and lips look protruding from the side. Always feel self-conscious and incomfortbale. Would not think twice to go for premolar extraction (especially the upper jaw).

Edit: i'm glad i never had any orthodontic treatment, i still have a full set of teeth (32).

I can't thank you enough for this video! I was on the verge of getting 4 teeth extracted before braces. You saved me a big mistake.

I had my appointment yesterday and the doctor directly told me that I need 4 teeth extraction, I'm really lucky to find this video, fuck it won't do it even if it means staying with my teeth like this

It’s intriguing how we perceive others from side profiles. The ones on the left and right are twins so they have the same length of jaw and chin. However, as I see, the left one looks like an underbite while the right one looks like she has a recessed chin.

Dear Dr. El-Hillal -- my daughter had extractions and we are very unhappy with the results. Her situation is very similar to the case in your video. We live in Massachusetts, north of Boston and we are trying to find a doctor to help reverse these results. What would you recommend and do you know anyone in this area who could help us?

Would extraction of all 4 wisdom teeth and then getting braced cause as much retraction and the dished in profile like the girl in the video?

Hi I know this comment is a bit late but I had my bottom 2 premolars removed and just learned about all the consequences I'm surprised I wasn't told about them before the procedure. Now I dont know what to do and need help!

Does the tongue fit precisely within the palette after pulling off the premolar and molar teeth ?doesn't the tongue carry risk of getting bitten everytime you chew ? and finally does it create problems while breathing because of forced repositioning of the jaws and a constricted tongue ?

I’m getting my 2 premolars extracted on my next visit. I’m scared but my ortho said that we need to make space on my teeth to close my protruding teeth

Her case was overcrowding or overbite??

the question is how many teeth did they take out from the girl on the left

It doesnt clear which teeth was extracted. I believe wisdom teeth especially if it grows impacted and always difficult to get cleaned daily is oke to be xtraxted, but the rest of the teeth, yes i agree most are dont need to be extracted
