We had done IF for 15 years since 6 until 22. Here's how it goes. We were raised in a underdeveloped country and lacked of food. There was no breakfast. Dinners always finished at 6 or 7pm. Lunches started at 12 am every day. We were at school from 7am to 11am, 1:30pm to 5pm. After dinner we did our homework until 11 or 12pm. We can't believe how slim and healthy we were. How much energy we had. After 15 years, we got jobs, a sedentary life and gained weight. So SURE that IF works for anyone who wants to be stronger, or lose some weights. We were small that time, but we were strong.

I have been intermittent fasting for 3 weeks and I am loving it. I have lost about 5 pounds and I have noticed significant slimming overall with my clothes. The best part for me has been the inflammation in my joints. I have arthritis in most of my joints and back. I have been able to cut back on my meds because my joints aren't as swelled and painful. I can actually walk virtually pain free in the mornings when I get up. My husband was so impressed with my results that he is now doing it and he is doing well also.

I've been Intermittent Fasting since Jan and have been sharing my progress via video updates. I think it is the easiest so called "diet" I have ever been on. I eat Keto along with the fasting but like you I am not obsessive about it. I am an old lady compared to you but this works in well with my lifestyle. Have a great day and thank you.

I've just passed 1 month of IF and can only agree with you- I feel more focused and filled with energy in the morning. I dont do Keto either, I'm too fond of vegetables and fruits. I've had gutproblems and they are finally getting better! I started IF because I wanted to loose a little weight, and 4 lb has gone. Not much on the scale but I see improvement on my belly :-) Feeling good is a huge plus! I'll turn 59 and find this to be a good way to balance mind and body.

I thought fasting would be super difficult, but with drinking more water I’m less hungry. I used to snack a bunch, especially chocolate before bed or after dinner. It helps not having it in the house, and it’s fascinating how true it is that you’re often more thirsty than hungry without realizing it until you add more water into your routine. I definitely need to get a bit better about the time tho, since my lunch at work is around 9am, I have to finish my meal times by 5pm. I love how I feel on Keto, but I also should incorporate workouts. I prefer Zumba over any other kind of exercise, since it’s fun. :) As far as weight lifting I prefer to use my small children for that.😂 (1 year old and 5 year old. I once had baby in the carrier or the 5 year old on me while doing Zumba, and it was so much more of an intense workout.)

This was really interesting - - I have struggled with IBS since I was a kid and also began struggling with skin issues (eczema type stuff) about 3 years ago. I have trouble sticking to any kind of diet and often end up gaining weight because of cravings from depriving myself!! I will definitely look into this and thank you for sharing!

You look great Melany (apologies if misspelled) I am also near my 40's and found out about IF by chance through Dy Anne IF on YouTube and decided to try it. I'm still going at it for 5 weeks now and love. By God's grace, it's going to be my life style because I feel so great. At first, I didn't think I was going to be able to do a workout at the end of my fasted stated, as recommended by other IFers, but by week 3 I had no problem at all, tons of energy. And I'm doing a Fitness Blender at home and it incorporates a LOT of HIIT mixed in with the strength workouts. So, yeah, love it. and would recommend it to anyone who is overweight and has health issues.

I been doing IF for 3 months now I love it my health has improve so much I have lost 10 lbs and have kept it down I started with 16-8 now I only do one meal a day I started one meal Adam because I don't find myself to be hungry like that on special occasion I will switch my days I also do water fasting when I need to do an over cleanse of my body I love your video

I have always been a "eat as soon as I wake up" person. However, my husband has some gut issues, especially since he had his gall bladder removed a year ago. I'm going to have him look into this. He does spin 5 days a week, so I could see the 2 together really helping. Thanks :)

I did try it for a week, started having spotting non stop. My periods also become irregular and less. I won't compromise on my hormonal imbalance and neither do I want an early "self induced" menopause. I am happy it's working for you . I am in my early 40's and don't want to do this at the cost of my health.

this has been exactly my same experience with intermittent fasting I've been doing it three months and have lost a total of 6 lb. nothing drastic. my biggest gain is also the lessened bloating and overall feeling much better.

I have heard so many good things about this system. I have to give it a try as soon as I recover from surgery.  I have noticed as 40 yrs old my metabolism is slower and I have experienced gut issue as well for years.  I do have IBM and I would love if this will help with that as well.  Thank you Melanie for your update and sharing the experience.

thanks for the post.Good info. If you have diabetes or thyroid issues, intermittent fasting is a very good option. Dr. Jason Fung discusses this at length in his many presentations available on you tube. Of course you may need to adjust and eliminate your diabetes medication so you of course need to monitor that with a doctor, because IFing can cure diabetes!
