I fostered a litter of bottle babies. My male cat Obie wasn't sure about them but eventually got into mommy/daddy mode. He cleaned their butts which helped them go potty better than my efforts did. He washed their faces and bodies, even holding them down like a momma would do. As they got older he played with them and definitely taught them how to cat.

He was teaching her much needed life skills. He did awesome. Lots of moms teach their kittens attack skills by pouncing and rolling. They certainly know what they’re doing. Humans think they’re hurting but WE don’t get it.

I don't think I could have given up that kitten when I saw how much the cats had bonded. That's why I have 10 cats. It takes a special person to foster these animals and give them to loving homes. Bless you for what you do.
