Closing shift 2 weeks postpartum as a mom of 6

Divide and conquer is the name of the game 😝

Here are the things we try to get done before going to bed each night! With 6 young kids in the house we have found creating systems like this have helped us maintain our home and routine with way less stress!

1) After dinner clear the table.

2) It use to be while one did baths the other did the kitchen but since we now have a newborn its now, Tim gets the other kids ready for bed while I breastfeed and get the newborn ready for bed.

3) Once the baby is down we work together to get the house tidy. The kids are responsible for cleaning up the playroom and their rooms and Tim and I tackle the kitchen & living room. This never goes smoothly as our 1 year old will want to be held or the baby wakes up for the 5th time. But we do what we can!

4) Start a load of laundry and run the dishwasher

Tip: Do all handwashing dishes first. That way if you cant get to all the dishes, by the time you get back to them it will just be the dishes you can load in the dishwasher 🙌

Once all that is done its time for bed, which is a whole other night routinenin itself! 🤪 Trying to get 6 kids asleep when they all want stories and one on one time takes quite a bit of time. But every bit of it is worth it!! ❤️❤️

Soon to be mom of 3: one 18 month old and twin girls on the way. My husband and I are the same way 🥰 we tackle everything together when he’s home. And he’s always willing to take on the heavier load when I’m exhausted from this pregnancy. We’re both nervous about adding two more tiny babies to the mix, but we know that God chose us for this and he will sustain us through it.

Awe I have a two week old boy but due to certain situations my postpartum has been very rough. My poor Husband is handling everything while I slowly regain my strength back, and take care of just the newborn…he gets everyone else and the farm…poor guy. Can’t wait to be more mobile again like you are. Thanks for the uplifting video ❤

Waiting so patiently to bring home my NICU baby so we can all be a family again. This is so sweet. We are on the final stretch and I can’t wait! Seeing your husband and you watch your babies has me feeling all the things. Children are such a blessing!

Best gift after giving birth is people bringing dinner all made for you. Even a heat and serve casserole ❤🎉. Saved me so much time and energy when people did the same for us. God bless your church community

I don't even have kids and I don't have the patience to do any skin care. Kudos to you for taking that time for yourself
