Love it! A good reminder for us musicians to make sure to take care of our ears

The definition of *Cruel Irony* : Being a genius composer of some of the most wonderful music ever composed, and then becoming unable to hear it for yourself. His hearing loss was somewhat gradual, though, and by some accounts he was able to hear what he was playing through vibrations of his piano transferred by a mechanical device built for him that could help transfer the tone/note vibrations - he was still able to hear those well enough, despite being virtually stone deaf to most other through-the-air type normal sounds. With his high genius for composition, though, Beethoven could *imagine* music without being able to actually hear it. I still feel bad for what he had to go through, though, of course. HUMANS have to try to be fair. LIFE doesn't.
