Some days I can look in the mirror and be really proud of my progress, other days I can be completely depressed from what I see, it’s a daily battle, if you’re reading this and feel the same then it’s you’re not alone

I always thought stretchmarks was a pretty cool problem to have while gaining muscle. Personally never felt bad about it. But i get that some might.

I’ve lost 80 lbs in the last year. Hardest thing for me to cope with was the self loathing and self esteem issues had nothing to do with being overweight. Thanks for the video!

I think it's worth mentioning that stretch marks, although not attractive to the eye are a sign of progress and choices made. I got big in my early 20s and not through weight training. I got really fat. Over the last the 6 years I've lost about 8 stone. Slowly but surely. The stretch marks now make little difference to my life but remind me how far I've come. Own them.

I definitely get the “you’ll be labeled” one, so irritating when people act like you’re crazy or self-absorbed for enjoying working on and bettering yourself. Loved this video as always, you’re the best Buff Dudes! 💪🏼

That “label” part is so funny. When I changed my nutrition plan way back I’d have a coworker be like “on a diet?” I was like “no, I’m just not eating garbage.”

Dude. Your stretch marks are a badge of honour. It means you were training so hard that your skin couldn't keep up with your gains. You're that awesome, beautiful man. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Stretch marks low key is taboo. Thankful y’all spoke on this.

I love videos like this, where you guys are being real. I'm 54 years old, lived a large part of my adult life in an unhealthy lifestyle. I've been fighting with trying to get fit for a couple years now. I'll go to a gym for a few months, then lapse into bad excuses. I've been doing good for the last 8 months, or so. I still have a huge problem with fighting with lack of willpower to stay away from bad diet habits. Videos like this, where you're being real, and honest, actually help with me on staying focused on my goals, because I can see even the fit people are human, too.

You guys are so fun and your content is always well thought out. @Hudson, particularly, you are a role model to me. As a dad myself, I am really impressed by how devoted you are to your family and personal health - its very inspiring and motivating to me personally.
I've been a long time watcher of your videos but only recently started my weight loss journey - I'm down 17 pounds so far. Thanks for educating me! Finally putting it to good use :)

I have been watching your content for around seven years now and I still come back watching your old as well as your new videos because they are not only enjoyable and informative, but you also come up with new formats like this which are just straight up wholesome and touch on stuff that not a lot of people talk about. Keep being awesome and spreading your positivity!

I think it’s really important to see that even people as big as Hudson can struggle with the mental aspect of training. Honestly would love an entire video just talking about body dysmorphia/self esteem from you guys

#3 is crazy. You're right it's so much easier than I thought it would be. Not to diminish the struggle of tracking nutrition it can be a PITA but once you get it figured out you think "damn I could have been doing this a long time ago". I've found that most of my co-workers just simply don't want to make the effort to try and understand nutrition or start in the gym.

I can definitely relate to the mental side of things and getting caught up in comparing myself to others - I could always be bigger, faster, more defined. One of the side effects of my meds that I started has been weight gain and I've had to learn to accept myself and be happy with who I am even when I'm not at ~15% body fat. It can be a challenge to accept and it's totally worth it. I can still lift, look at myself in the mirror, and be proud of the progress I've made

New fav video on the channel. Love that you took the time to cover these issues, share the stigma and how you've dealt with them.

Yeah, #3 for real man. I come from a very sciencey background in academia. All my friends are engineers and physicists, when I got big and stronger, they started to label me as a work-out obsessed nutjob and saying stuff like: only meatheads spend that much time in the gym lifting weights, completely looking down on the gym culture. They couldn't say it directly to me because they know I'm equally smart, but they always tried to make me feel bad for lifting weights.

Just want to say thanks, Buff Dudes. You guys were the first fitness channel that I started watching to get me started on my fitness journey over 6 years ago. Your workout plans were a great resource that helped me understand how to structure my workouts. I appreciated and loved your mixture of education and comedy in your videos. I subscribed to your channel when you guys were well under 1 million subs, and now you guys are over 2.5 million and counting. Congrats, it's well deserved, and keep up the great work and stay buff. 💪🏾👍🏾

I really like your channel. You put a lot of information out there, you're not screaming at people, you throw in some comedy to keep things light, and you seem like you know what you're talking about. There's a lot of crap out there and I don't believe you are on that list. I really appreciate what y'all do.
