Well the pressure of failing in front of teammates n peers. N the backlash that comes with it. No one wants to be chastised for what they love to do

Watched your video on confidence yesterday, glad to see this today.

Been working on my skills at the outdoor courts and guys are constantly asking me to play pickup; then when I'm not as fluid in-game, I feel like I take the blame when I wasn't even the one approaching them to play! It's like there's no room to develop your game, they see you locked in with headphones doing combo moves & swishing midrange shots and now you're supposed to be the All-Star to come save the day 🤷🏽‍♂️

With that said, I've noticed over the past several games that there are times when I rush my shot against defense or don't utilize space as I should; I'm one of the shorter guys on the court & automatically assume that my shot will get blocked or I won't get inside, and that's been the opposite of true. I'm getting looks but then freezing up because I feel like I don't have enough moves in my arsenal (though watching film of Elite players lately I see I fundamentally do) and I don't want to be the one to mess up. Still, teammates seem to default to me and being that #1 option is also new to me.
I'd be exponentially better if I had "1st or 2nd Option" confidence, because playing as a background role player is resulting in lost games & mental peace.

(For context I used to play the 2 or 3 in HS & the Military, and assumed at the College & Professional levels I'd be forced to play Point because I'm only 5'7" w/shoes on, but with Wings & Bigs globally handling the ball more (Jokic, Giannis, AD for example) I'm seeing I have room to be a combo guard and just need to trust in my reps more.)

As far as "What's the worst that can happen?" I recognize I won't be back sleeping on the street again, but it's a Pride/Embarrassment thing for me.
I hate when I underperform & now some guy goes home thinking they're better than me, when (LITERALLY rain or snow) I put in work relentlessly.

Anyway, thanks for the vid🏀

My fear is not practicing enough and not becoming my potential. And I also have a fear that people won’t think I’m that good by the end of my career
