Can the Creality K1 print at 600 mm/s ONLY with Hyper PLA?

Creality's K1 is so fast that some filaments can't keep up. It can print at up to 600 mm/s - that's twelve times faster than most Cartesian 3D printers.

Right after assembling the K1, I of course started the 600 mm/s test on the included USB stick with the Hyper PLA. My first thought was, "What, how can this be so fast?! Can you print this fast also with normal filament?!" - And that's exactly what I wanted to try.

Good video with necessary information about the normal filament vs Hyper filament

Excellent video. Thank you. It would be awesome to see the effect of a CHT nozzle as well.

600 mm/s means absolutely nothing without specifying the acceleration. You’re discussing 3d printing speed without a single mention of the volumetric flow rate… how

Do you have any profil for the creality k1 max ?
What do you advise do you use bambu studio or creality print ? Tank you in advance !

Thanks for the nice video, would you actually mind to share your Creality Slicer profiles for the k1?

Good Video - got my K1 Max today, printed Benchy with PLA+ (DURAMIC) as if it were PLA hyper - Print quality was real good, speed about knocked me over(16 min). Possibly the PLA+ has similar quality to Hyper.. Will need to test further, but a nice option.Huge improvement over my CR6SE.

see Hyper PLA is basically abs with pla mixer if you print abs it will be the same as Hyper PLA

Tried to print with normal PLA at 300 degrees celsius, it was going well until it randomly clogged up the entire hotend, so i had to take the entire thing apart and try to manually pull the plastic out. Didn't work, so i had to carefully drill through it. This worked, but when i put it back on, it started to leak melted PLA on the hotend itself when i tried to extrude the hyper-PLA in. I had to get a new hotend now.

BE CAREFUL AND DON'T END UP LIKE ME: If you are going to use normal PLA, i just suggest you try to print at a slower speed instead of increasing the temperature up to 300 degrees. I would recommend a setting of 200 degrees instead for Creality's official normal PLA. (which means any other kind of PLA not designed for high-speed printing). If you are using a different brand, be sure to read what temperature it is supposed to be used at.

Done all the super fast test files on basic average quality pla and ultra low cost PLA resault is the same always a perfect print. As for me the Hyper PLA is uselles maybe later :)

printed the presliced 16m Benchy on the K1 with usual chaep Geeetech PLA without problems

I used a cheap PLA on the K1 using default benchy and speed test (both provided) and have no stringing, blobs or other issues. All i can say dry the PLA overnight at 50deg C.

Hyper PLA is less likely to get clogged like normal PLA but if you go very fast it might get clogged sometimes but since it melts very fast don't worry it will not

what is that test print being used in the video that lets it print at that speed if someone could send it to me it would be very appreciated

Inland Tuf PLA prints essentially perfectly on the K1 using Hyper PLA settings.

Sorry, kind of new at this. I just changed the pla from hyper to the free ones they sent, I think they are ender pla. What temps should I use for the two rolls of en-pla they sent?

no even creality tells u it cant on real print the speed is about 300 mm

So what's the longevity of the extruder at 60mm/s? I see plastic and lack of opposing bearings, so I wager the extruder won't last 10 prints. Gee...I wonder why they include a spare...

No true, i'm using cheap PLA as it looks great.
