The Creality K1 is fast, slick and affordable... but I wouldn't recommend buying it. Find out why in this video where I compare the K1 to Bambu Lab's P1P, in a similar price range. #3dprinter #3dprinting #creality

The ad nagging from the Creality mobile app is an instant deal killer. I can't believe anyone would buy their printer knowing that.

Regarding the creality app: you can completely skip that by using the web interface you can access via the browser when entering the printers IP. You can also see the cam footage there and upload prints remotely

Up until now my k1 has been working great. My last print PETG translucent print, no supports, just a raft, minimal stringing and great print. All those that can’t get a print to actually finish off of this printer….I think patience is all K1 owners need and maintain the printer. I’m just a hobbyist but a patient one.

Really enjoyed this video. I am a complete 3D printing newbie and found it very informative. I just got my Bambu Labs P1P and looking forward to using it. Thanks for going through the side by side comparison.

Hey guys, thank you for pointing out all the talking points between both machines. I personally went with the P1P a few months back and have consistently told people that, "I didn't know what good printing was until I got my Bambu Printer."

On a side note though, would you mind popping a little edit into the video regarding the Cooling Fan(and Chamber Light) because they are now included with any and All P1P's sold as well as will be sent to anyone that did NOT get it as an Early Bird Gift. It's really cool what Bambu Labs are doing, especially taking a majority of the user issues into account moving forward.

Thanks again guys and great work.

Thank you for this video. I have been intested in the K1 as.a Bambu alternative to sace a few bucks, and you've sold me on the Bambu. The ads on the monitoring app are beyond the limit of what im willing to tolerate.

What I love about PrusaSlicer, is you can feed it STEP files instead of STL and the circles and curve come out real smooth.

Does the p1p have to be connected to the internet in order to work? I'm planning to move into a boat in the future and well there's no internet in the middle of the ocean .

people are printing enclosure frames (not the enclosure design in bambu site) and hinges for the P1P and they either source and cut the acrylic or polycarbonate clear siding themselves or they order pre cut sides from a cnc shop. Then you can buy the bambu X1C glass roof/lid or use acrylic or polycarbonate for that too.

With the P1P developed as an open frame, bambu decided to omit the main circuit board cooling fan, which you would want add it enclosing it. You also want to add filtered exhaust especially if printing abs, which adds to the cost. And adding a cooling fan for the printed part for when using pla filament.

It adds up though and would be better to get the X1C to begin with (or the k1😐 although it's not for me). Printing enclosure is a good solution for people who already had a p1p though.

Bought a P1S two weeks ago. I've been running it everyday for about 8 to 10 hours. I have not had one failed print. It's fast and so far quite reliable. As suggested by Bambu Lab, I clean the PEI sheet with warm dish soapy water and dry it before printing. The first layer has always been perfect. Myself, if I needed another printer I'd just buy another P1S.

thanks for this video you definitely gave me some much needed insight on the k1 I already have a p1p but wanted to add more good to know I’ll just get an X1 in the future instead

How do you like it now with the new update? Should give you a lot more options and stability...

From what I read the K1 has a usb port and the Bamboo p1p does not.
Can you use Octoprint with the K1 ?

Actually I had tried my friends' P1P once, though dont have much experience with it. Problems you mentioned dont brother me, i might have enough luck. All the prints with my K1 are awesome, love it so far.

Microcenter has a $200 coupon for the Creality K1. Do you think it's worth it at $379? Is it possible to use Cura for slicing and Octoprint for running?

One question, if you don't have Bambu as an option, since Bambu is not available in my country. Only Creality and Anycubic printers are available in my country. Is the K1 a bad printer? Will I have issues with it? or it's only not as good as Bambu?

I see a lot of USA videos saying to get Bambu but they are extremely limited and only available in north america and selected countries in Europe pretty much.

What about warranty and customer support, which has better Creality or Bambu?
