I gifted PUBG many years ago to my friend, before there were any contraband coupons in the game. He didn't have even 50hrs in the game and then he quit. Fast forward to 2023, I booted up PUBG to test his new laptop, got free contraband coupon from an event that was going on, opened up a crate, literally the first crate that was ever opened on that account, got the "GEAR HEAD" Beryl. First fucking opening. I am not making this up, its still in that account and he doesn't even play the game.

Dome I said the same thing 6 months ago on Reddit, I have a friend with a new account and since then he has all the progressive skins, while old accounts need to spend a lot of money.

It's so interesting you've pondered the possibility of low accounts getting better results from crates, I've totally thought that was the case. My friends are low level and already have more progressive skins than me, and I open on average 10x as many crates as them due to more kills, doing missions, prime crates etc etc

I just started playing the game 2-3 weeks ago. Unlocked the progressive dragon beryl for free with the 10 tickets, spent 350 on g coin and got the m24 on 2nd 10crate pack got mad tokens unlocked the m4 and said fuck it and bought the pan. Now if I finish the pass plus all challenges I might have enough for the mini 14 and get the 5 schematics from collecting all of the progressives. Done spending money I got what I wanted😂

One of the guys we play with never opens crates, he's not into cosmetics and is a fairly low ranked player, pulled the Progressive M24 first pull, so I definitely think the amount you play effects probability

My smurf account at less than 100vl bronze got the ACE progressive with less than 50 coupons, so i think new accounts have high chances of getting a first progressive skin and afterwards its probably within the actual probability

I agree I think low level or accounts that has low play time has a better chance to get gold crates

im on a low lvl account and got the m24 skin with the free ticket on the first time, i think there's more luck on low lvl...

Will there be more contraband events that would have chances to get the Mini and M4 at a later point you think @C Dome ? (Like the time when there was Aug and M4 contraband, one week each). If so I would save my cupons, as I'd rather have the Mini than the M24

What you said about new accounts getting better odds is 100% true, I’ve tested this myself and with friends.

Moreover, if that is true, is that not technically illegal to tamper with odds to make them appear more common and encourage spending?

Yah i stopped playing for about 5 seasons and before the time of progressives. First contraband i got the ace progressive

Maybe going to salvage since the "Progressive Pan" is impossible to have if you dont spend. (11.2k G-Coins) is overpriced 😬
