Hello Bone Builders. Over on the Bone Builders Facebook group, there has been some questions about whether yoga can help with osteoporosis or osteopenia. The answer is that it can if done a certain way.

This is part two of a two part video series. I'll show you the seated and lying down poses of the 12 poses that have shown to improve osteoporosis and how you can adapt some of them.

Thank you for showing these poses. The seated twist is much easier when you sit on something, like a rolled blanket or towel. And for the lying twist the knees can be bent, so it is more accessible.

I am grateful for the adaptions, and a bit jealous you can touch your toes 🙂. Someday maybe my hips will become more flexible. I have always had stiff hips, even when I did years of Ballet. Being in my mid 50's with Osteopenia in my hips (almost Osteoperosis) I have been looking for ways to stretch them and strenghthen them. Thank you again for your wonderful explanations. ~ Dee

I am going to definitely try all 12 of these. I don’t have osteoporosis but I have osteopenia I’m 65 years old. I’m pretty limber but I definitely need this
