Chester MARATHON Training 2.0: Week 7 RECAP

Week 7 of marathon training was slightly different, as I was away on a weekend break with the family at the end of the week. I wanted to get the bulk of the longer runs done before going away, to ensure I wasn’t having to get loads done over the weekend.

In the end it was another solid week of training, and another good amount of miles banked in week 7.

Training will likely be adjusted with the warmer weather now appearing, and my kids being off for the summer. If I can get through the next 4-5 weeks close to the scheduled plan, I’ll be in a good place.

7 weeks are now completed, 9 more weeks of training left to go. I’m still relaxed about the whole process, I suppose that comes with the knowledge I’ve already done a marathon and I’m fitter now than I was then.

In terms of race goals, I’ll set an actual official goal time later in the block. Follow along with my Chester Marathon training series and see how I get on during the 2nd half of the block.
