Here's why rest is crucial for muscle growth

About Me: I'm a college student with a passion for fitness hoping to make it my career. I started training in early 2019 and have devoted a big portion of my life to it ever since. Now, with the help of this amazing community I've been blessed to be a part of, I will try my best to give back the information I've learned for those hoping to embark on a journey of their own.

I hope that helps and subscribe for more lifting tips! #Gym #Shorts

Obviously, everyone is different and requires different amounts of recovery, but don't ever feel like you NEED to train everyday in order to see results. If you're actually training hard and pushing yourself each session, then your body needs to rest. There's absolutely nothing wrong with taking 2 or 3 days off per week, in fact, it can be very beneficial for most people. Remember, muscle takes plenty of time to build, and if you aren't providing your body with the right recovery, you'll just end up digging yourself into a hole.

I take 7 rest days per week and the gains are astronomical. Thank you, Max.

For those who are scared of rest days, it’s a growth day, not a rest dag

Totally agree. I used to train 6 days a week too, initially it was going great but got to a point where I felt that I can’t lift with the same energy and my muscles felt sore a lot. Decided to switch to 5 days a week and overall it improved everything. I can lift heavier, I can lift with more intensity and it helped me recover better. Don’t be scared to take rest days guys!

If you feel you NEED to go everyday, i recommend it as an accesory day i.e. neck, calves, forearms, injury prevention etc. These muscles are hardly very taxing and can shave time off your regular days

I used to take 1 day, but 2 really improved my gains. From there it only got better. I’m all the way up to 10 rest days a week now

I don't train every day to see results. I train every day because I go fucking crazy when I don't.

I now understand that the more rest I take, the more gains I make. Starting today I will be taking 7 rest days per week. Thanks for the help😎

Taking 3-4 rest days and going high intensity in the gym is a solid option for people who are studying and working or are just generally busy

It’s been about three weeks since I started my workout plan and diet. So far so good 2 rest days a week and I’m down 20lbs.💪

Sometimes i take a week off from the gym so the muscules fully recover and man that feeling when the weight you used to lift feels light is amazing

I workout 4 days a week and have a physical job overnight and it’s perfect for me. Took some experimenting but it works.
