ALWAYS put them in hot water, the cold water method is the hard to peel method.

If you don't want to eat them right away/just as an alternate way, you can just stop at the kill the heat and cover step and wait until the whole thing cools. I try to avoid rapid/cooling when I can and just let it finish how it started.

Just tried this with white eggs. Shell was ripping chunks of the egg apart, egg was undercooked and fell apart halfway through peeling.

I have had terrible results with this method, seems better to add eggs to already boiling water, cook, then the ice bath

At the end of the video, just not sure if I would’ve said: “if you enjoyed this video” I would have rephrased that to something else then suggest people to subscribe to your channel. I just think saying enjoyed this video was highly inappropriate other than that good job gathering the facts together with what happened.

They didn't peel that easy from what I could see, If you put the eggs in boiling water right from the fridge it doesnt allow time for the membrane to attach to the shell 😳

NO! This is how you make a hard to peel boiled egg. Do you see the little flakes still left on the egg? You had to dip it again to remove them lol.

I put 1 teaspoon of sugar to the eggs and water then boil.

Boil 1 inch of water in a pot

Take no more than 6 eggs, add to water

Turn heat to med, cook for 13 min

Add to ice bath when done for 5 mins

Perfect egg every time. 10 mins for soft boiled egg

Too SOFT! Maybe it should be a Rolling Boil, not just barely boiling! I'm going back to the "Boil" method and just leave them boiling for maybe 10 minutes!
