My dad was a Navy frogman during WW2. He would never talk to me about his experiences he had. I over heard him talking to my brother's before the three of them went to Vietnam.
He was telling them about all the explosives he worked with and how he had seen a few of his buddies blown up in front of him or die by gun fire when they were going to detonate explosives. I can only imagine his pain.

The sleep would kill me long before anything else. I can handle all sorts of physical discomfort, I’ve walked back to work after passing a gallbladder stone and vomiting in the parking lot. I’ve also pulled heavy equipment out of freezing water…. but sleep deprivation is something I have a very small amount of tolerance for.

I guess people’s mileage may vary. One guy I knew who was a SEAL said the part that by far sucked the most was bits of stone and broken seashells cutting him on the beach. He hated it far less than waterboarding

It’s a grind for sure. . Sets you up for life Everyday . I told my kid Usmc aviator he’s got this, my support ! The 37yrs I did in the fire /Ems service 4 the team ! We all need to embrace the suck ! All I know at the end keep grinding, alone .. or not. 🇺🇸
