My dad used to drive me and my brothers to Coronado to watch the SEAL training and see the obstacle courses. He used to say that if we pissed off my mom too much he would call up his friends who works their and make us do all the training. We were 6 and 8

In other videos, the same guy talks about how upsetting it was when he realized what being a seal meant. He met an already team member who was dreading a deployment because he feared “someone will die from this team in this deployment”. I will NEVER DISCOUNT what these men do for our country. However, the harrowing realization that for some men, all the hard work they already gave, would ultimately mean death…. That was tough

It’s about 18 months from boot camp through phase 1, 2, 3/jump phase/SQT and then a couple more months for the people going medic or sniper or robot team

Early on in BUD/S is the notorious HELL WEEK.. 130 hours of continuous pt with little to no sleep. This is where most people DOR and ring the bell to go back to the fleet.

I worked in a nursing home for a time cooking and serving the residents. One old guy told me all kinds of stories of being in the war and swimming under submarines to plant c4 I was thinking this is one of the most badass people on earth and I'm working with him!

I’m doing a step challenge at work. It’s been pretty tough trying to keep up to Edith and Agnes in HR, so I totally understand what these men must be going through. Solidarity brother.

If you consider what they go through in BUDS you start to find behaviors that exceed the average human physical abilities. Theu truly are doing the impossible for most of us.

This guy is great
Mr Ballen is a very humble man. I’ve heard it’s guys like him that seem to excel in Special operations

I was NAVY, in decent shape and pretty salty at one point. I wouldn’t have made it through day 1 at BUDS but I sure would have liked to try…
