Thank you, but if I took my dog to the vet every time he had an ear infection I would be broke and homeless.

2017 our vet visit/general physical was $40.00. 2020, vet visit costs more than $125 and shots are $ 80 for each.. time to start doing more at home again... went to smaller stores in the country all in one shots less than $50. SMH. The dog breeders and enthusiasts were a huge help on cutting down costs.

I work for Zymox and worked for a multi-state veterinary clinic group. Vets treat with prescription antibiotics and cleaning. Zymox is an natural enzymatic solution; that work without cleaning. Some old-school vets will sell or recommend Zymox a twenty-year proven product, but most revenue-managed veterinary practices use prescriptions. Why would any vet offer you a proven "home remedy"?

At home remedy: juice at least two cloves of garlic add it to 2 tbsp of olive oil add a few drops of oregano oil Shakewell and let's sit for a bit. Add at least 1/3 dropper full into the ear canal, squish around get a Q-tip clean out and repeat then add once a day until it's cleared up. Should only take a few days to clear up but I would go ahead and do it once a day for about 5 days to be certain. Caution: never use oregano oil alone it will burn, bad! You must have a carrier oil. I used olive oil you cannot taste the burn after you put it in olive oil

Apply a mix of turmeric and coconut oil . A thin layer will be of help. Turmeric is antifungal and anti bacterial. It works for me. In addition u may also apply the regular ear drops.

It’s called “How To Identify and Treat” and infection, not “How To Diagnose” it...of course you need to see a vet for it, and of course as with any other type of doctor, it costs money. This was a very informative video and Bella deserves all the treats for being such a good bean!

most pet supply stores will carry the ear cleaner, make sure to get an alcohol free one so you dont irritate it any further. its always best to see a professional first before trying ANY home remedy, your dog may have an allergy you're not aware of

My dog have a broken ear drum, the vet prescribed liquid antibiotics and betadine to be administrated through the ear canal BUT in the medicine was written NOT to use it when broken ear drums, further I read that no water in the ear! Betadine is 97% water. When I told him about the medicine, he told me that it is ok!

My daughter's dog's ears always look like they have an ear mite infection. He has gone to the vet a few times for the crud (with NOT too bad an odor like a yeast infection has) & discomfort he has. Vet says it's yeast. He's been treated for this yeast issue a few times & it does not subside. As per the vet, he has narrow ear canals & his floppy ears do not permit good air circulation thus the yeast. A cytology was done yesterday ($53.50). Vet yesterday; $275.73 & that's WITH a 10% discount...!!!!
I still say it's ear mites. Looks exactly like the ear mite infection (in dogs) in the pics I found online.

Took my cat to the vet for an ear infection and they said they didn’t know what was wrong and he may have just scratched himself. (It was bad) So I had to take him back if it wasn’t healed in two weeks. It never healed I just treated it myself after 3 more weeks and a 400 vet bill I am still in disbelief that they charged me 400 and just want me to take him back as if it’s nothing. 🤦🏻‍♀️
