Easy 1.9tdi EGR Delete Without Losing Anti-Shudder Valve (ASV)

preview_player
Показать описание
Cheap, easy and quick way to delete your EGR valve whilst keeping the Anti-Shudder Valve functioning. Prevents EGR, inlet manifold and clynder heads from getting clogged up. Stops engine breathing dirty hot exhaust gasses = cooler air and more power. Engine shown is 1.9tdi, VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda. Caution: This may trigger your Engine Management Light. You can either ignore it, repeatedly clear it with fault code reader or have it mapped out of the ecu.

he is spot on,
what i do is put a ball bearing in the vacuum line
(making sure its big enough) then reconnect the vacuum line back to the egr
that way to looks completly stock when the engine cover is off

Did this to my beetle with the ATD pd. got engine light on dash but no interference with performance.
But last night I purchased an inlet manifold off a 130/150 and a darkside egr delete pipe. My mate does mapping so he’s mapping out the EGR for me….. I might even get a little tune done too as it’s only a 100hp engine.

Do this instead of blanking plates. Because your engine will Judder. I tried blanking plates now I'm getting rid of them and going back to this way like I had it before

im coming back again, the LIMP MODE was because of a VACCUM CABLE that was broken.. and when i wanted to press the full gas pedal it goes to limp mode, now after i change it and i did the EGR remove again like in the video, my car is working perfect no eml light. SO it is working for my a4 b6 AVB 2002 !

Just to let people know, this will cause check engine light. If you want to stop the engine light coming on you will need to re program the ecu. This will cost about £9 and you can do it yourself at home. Feel free to reply if you want more info or help

I did this on golf pd130, it does work in keeping the egr closed and no lights on the dash, but the car does go into limp mode I.e no boost from time to time although this is infrequent and fixed by putting vacuum hose back on to the egr. Then delete again.

Okay so the mpg gains were noticed didn't notice much in power? I'd say non tbh... This did turn on check engine light in my 07 jetta 1.9tdi although It won't cost me anything to get switched off... I'm definitely gonna install a proper egr delete kit now with correct map software... Great way to get better mpg I went from 38.3 to 48.8mpg... That's City BTW I'm curious as to see motorway

I tried this on my 2.0tdi passat B6 with 8 valve BMP engine and car experienced a major power loss, like almost no power at all. I guess the car maybe went into limp mode but I had no error messages. I reattached the hose and everything went back to normal.

If your car goes limp, Due to sticky vanes and you cannot afford a new turbo follow these instructions:

1) remove the exhaust downpipe from your turbo and spray Mr muscle (oven cleaner) into turbo and move actuator for an hour wash and reinstall ( watch tutorial first !)

2) purchase a Bluetooth obd2 adapter and download torque to clear check engine light. This eliminates the need to restart car. You can clear limp mode by clearing codes.

3) join/use vw vortex and tdi club lots of great info there if u take the time to read.

Hope this was helpful

Do u have to block off the nipple on the egr it self?

Did this on my remapped golf 1.9tdi thrown a code for overboost as the vacuum pipe was blocked off. Will be blanking it off properly wouldn’t recommend from my personal experience

For the emissions test, just reconnect it. No one will notice

you forget to disable the air flow gate, you'll need to do this or your EGR will think exhaust gas is going through, so take of the pipe and cap the same, you'll them have 100% air, be sure to be very careful with your engine, you could have carbon blocking gaps and holes you might not want to open, daily checks and oils changes are to be a regular thing, one more thing i think you all should after you have deleted your EGR < you might want to replace or clean your air inlet manifold as it will be caked in thick dirty carbon, you'll be shocked to see the state of them and why they even came up with the EGR valve in the first place, some guy in the work shop must have known you'd need a new car at 200'000 miles, one big SCAM

You may find that people that are experiencing power loss ect is once you delete the egr what ever way u do it, your ecu has to be edited for a egr delete for it to work correctly. Hope this helps
