Yeah but that’s if you’re strong enough physically to handle it in the first place. When guts first wore it and used it’s power it drained him so much that his hair started turning white. So not just anyone can wear it and survive, you have to be physically at your peak.

Yes it is true. The armor does not actually HEAL guts, it just...holds him together.

The most Berserk artifact there could be. Anyone else would just give the character a power-up and say that it hurts a lot or shortens the lifespan of the user, but at least it instantly heals all the wounds suffered, but not Miura. Berserker armour is so brutal, and we've known Guts for so many years, we feel uncomfortable, seeing him break his body so sevearly, because the armour makes him feel no pain. Every impossible sword swing, every leap and every heavy landing, we can't see it, but we know that muscles are tearing, bones are shattering, and the black iron splinters make their way into Guts' body to keep him together, hurting him even more in the process.

This is how you write dark fantasy.

Do wanna point out that during Golden Age arc one of the first big arguments Casca and Guts had she called him "just like a wild dog" so kinda fitting he took that to heart and his own personal inner anger took that shape

Removing the armor was extremely painful for Guts.
The armors teeth pierced him in so many places from his first fight that the armor stuck to him. The sheer amount of pain made him pass out only for him to reawakened by the pain.

The drawback that i can think of majorly is the fact after your vicious battle, all your wounds and broken bones will take effect.

When guts first worn the armour, he was already heavily injured only to go all out again and sustaining bigger injuries ( Massive bleeding and broken his hands to the point of bending backwards). Once the battle was over and they escaped, the armour was stucked into him as it was lodged into his bones to keep him together which made him bleed for days.

When the armour was removed, he was constantly fainting and reawakened from the tremendous pain which keep reopening his wounds. It must be a horrendous experience that even guts himself could faint multiple times from.
