Can you make an video on the function of the immune system beyond self-nonself paradigm and discuss "danger" model which is more compatible with modern understanding of the immune system functioning?

Thanks. This was great. Can you steer us towards more immune / auto-immunity deep dives. Those of us with auto-immunity have probably figured out that medicine has not figured out the immune system yet. I'm just very curious about the whole matter but can't seem to find any answers. Please don't tell me to consult my physician as that has been going on for 30 years. They still can't enlighten me. Can you help?

Peter Attia discusses the remarkable evolution of the immune system and its dual challenge of detecting harmful pathogens while avoiding attacks on the body's own cells. He highlights the complexity of this system and its ability to recognize foreign peptides, called antigens, even within short sequences of amino acids. The conversation focuses on the MHC class one system, where antigen-presenting cells showcase internal peptides to CD8 T cells, initiating an adaptive immune response. Attia explains the significance of MHC class one in combating viral infections, emphasizing the immune system's effectiveness in defending against a wide array of viruses. He differentiates between the adaptive and innate immune responses, with a specific focus on the former. The discussion underscores the immune system's incredible ability to combat viruses, despite the limited availability of effective antiviral agents compared to antibiotics for bacterial infections.

Cool! I feel like I just walked into the second year of med school, taught in Sanskrit.

How can anyone believe that such an amazing system came about by random chance and not recognize a Designer behind the design?

5:00 Very good, finally you understood that. Now apply this knowledge to the mRNA vaccines.

Peter Attia doesn't really know as much as he pretends. I've read his book. It's mostly rehashed old health news. But his claim that exercise is more important than food is tantalising.
