The first response to a viral infection is the rapid-onset innate response. There are several mechanisms involved in innate immunity: interferons, natural killer cells, and antigen-presenting cells.

A lot of information here, but you did not mention when a fever occurs during this process. Is the fever part of the innate immune response or the adaptive immune response? Also, specific to coronavirus family members, when does lung congestion come in?
