Why Do People Use Modern Bible Versions?

It was a King James that God spoke to me, by causing giant letters to come up off the pages, forming His words to me, saying " Commit your life to me" After that it has always made sense to me. If people continue to read the KJV, it will become natural language to them.

Calvary is taken from the Latin, and as "calvariu[m]", it means "the skull". So when most new bibles have skull, then it's actually the same thing (just in a different language).
John 19 : 17

For the record, the October testament from 2016 does have calvary in Luke 23, but with the footnote in the margin, which basically tells us where the word comes from.

Only in Texas can you write a modern Bible version without losing the singular-plural distinction. Just write "you" for singular and "y'all" for plural.

I don't use these versions if I can help it. Unfortunately I haven't found a french bible that matches the KJV. If anyone can help me please let me know. Louis Segond doesn't match the KJV.

The English of the KJV Bible is not a type of English that was ever spoken anywhere. The English of the KJV Bible is Biblical English, in which the English is shaped and molded by the Hebrew and Greek from which it comes. The Bible as inspired and written has ambiguities, uses poetic language, distinguishes between singular and plural in the second person, it has passages that are difficult to understand, figures of speech (e.g. "the fat of the land") it uses the generic masculine, and requires diligent study and hard work to understand. Too many in the world today are simply too lazy to study an actual Bible, and so opt for Bible versions that engage in left-wing political correctness, that are paraphrases, that insert commentary into the actual text. People don't care about that. They don't care what God actually inspired. They don't care about God's actual words. All they care about is their own concerns, needs, and wants.

Get back to the KJB. The modern translations come from Vatican. They’re wicked.

When you start to study this issue. Philippians 2:6-7 KJV. Has it right the other translations make Jesus lesser.

Also 1 Corinthians 1:18. KJV has it right I am saved!!! The others say being saved. I can go on. But, pray on it yourself.

Do y’all know why the King James only people really hate the NIV? It is because the NIV is more popular. Now these people will never come out and say it but that is the only reason why they pick on it more than any other translation. They are like kids I swear, because if you compare the kjv with the niv they are actually say the same thing more than most of the time, compared as to when they disagree. So the issue is not that these modern versions are corrupt or wrong because again f you compare them the kjv and other modern versions they say the same thing so that is not the problem. Also they make an issue over removed verses, and they never ask why it was removed they just look at the kjv and put it as the standard for reasons and say they modern versions are trying to take your faith away or are using bad manuscripts. If those manuscripts are bad then the documents that was used to make the kjv were beyond horrible, because the modern versions use actual Greek manuscripts unlike the kjv which used second hand Greek texts inserted of actual texts like the modern versions use. Also the kjv only people do not care what any Greek text says because if there is a difference between the kjv and any Greek text than the kjv is superior and must correct the Greek text. Which that is pure insanity!! On example is that there are 1800 differences between the kjv and the “receivers text” or the Textus receptus but they do not care because the kjv is their standard not the Greek. Now I am not trying to bash or say that the kjv is not a great translation or that you have to go read a modern translation no if you like the kjv then read it is better than a lot of translations out there. It’s that when you tell someone that has a different bible than you that what they are using is bad or corrupted what your doing is attacking their faith for no reason. I would like it to stop but again kjv only people don’t like facts or reason they just like their kjv.
