There are 3 aspects that propell this movie.
Number one is without question the music. I'm ok with different opinions.
Number 2 is the obvious. The attraction between Reeves and Seymour isn't good acting by itself.
3 location. The Grand hotel holds its lure throughout the movie but it transcends a timeless emotion as it is real. The hotel is not an actor and although a prop, it's a movie set that anyone can audition a dream upon today
