I could not produce milk. I did the pumping round the clock for three weeks and never had milk come in. My frustration with this video is she assumes that all moms can produce if they pump. But actually there is a very small (1%) of us that just will never produce. I did every think from pump pump pump to supplements. To diet... Milk “did” came in at a month and a half for me. It was literally .2 oz (basically nothing) and caused me many issues. I had mastitis. Followed by an abscess followed by surgery. At which point my daughters male doctor saw me- my heartbroken, defeated, tired face, and told me “formula is ok. Just enjoy your baby” because for the month and a half when I tried so hard to produce, I was unable to enjoy my baby. I felt like such a failure as a mom. And every lactation consultant I saw kept saying “pump more”. So I spent hours on a pump hooked to a wall and little time embracing this new baby. If you are struggling to feed- the most important thing is to feed your baby and enjoy them. Formula is ok.
