Mothman. Potters Creek Road is where a lot of the sightings allegedly took place

I got a copy of Misery this time (already owned and read) & a Peter James last time. Dean Koontz the time before - but I was actually happy with it! Not one of his I've read yet.

I’m definitely going to have to try this service when they have spots available, I really like my Nightworms subscription but this one looks fun too.

Hopefully I get books in my box this month. Last month my box was empty. (I think when it went through customs, who ever checked it didn't seal it back up) 😢 I did contact Abominable Books and they said they will send me a replacement box.

I was soooo pleased to see Sister, Maiden, Monster in there! Not so much about the Welsh Cakes 🫣

I got “In The Dark” by Mark Billingham

I haven’t read any LaRocca yet, but part of the reason I get the box is to drag myself out of the 70s and 80s horror scene, which I am much more familiar with then the contemporary one.

I haven’t got a Dean Koontz yet LOL

Is the Bookmark referencing 'The Mothman Prophecies'?

Two really interesting books this month. Mystery book for me James Herbert’s The Jonah. Last read 35 years ago!😂

For the first time since I subscribed to ABC, I did not receive a Dean Koontz novel as my mystery book this month, I got Stephen Kings Dreamcatcher. I really liked the last two boxes and with so many horror novels I want to read coming out this year, I have high hopes for the upcoming months!

Mothman! 👏🏻👏🏻. Hellier, anyone? Anyone? 😂
That is a great bow apart from the mystery! I simply love unboxing. In The Cut sounds up my alley. - 📚MJ

Told myself I was watching to see the bonus book, but knew I was lying to myself. Can’t wait for mine to arrive

I was just looking on Goodreads to see if I had read anything by Lucy A. Snyder(her name is familiar). I see that she had a story in the Hellbound Hearts collection, which I really enjoyed. But most interestingly to your recent history, it looks like she has been part of 2 Robert W. Chambers inspired anthologies: In the court of the yellow king (Glynn Owen Barass ed) and Cassilda’s Song (Joseph S. Pulver ed).

My second hand book was The Cottage by Lisa Stone. I’ve never heard of her or it but sounds ok.

Both of those books are on my TBR! What a good assortment of snacks.

This is unrelated to today’s topic but I just watched your DNF episode and noticed you talked about books that are too long. After looking at my shelves of about a hundred books or so, I noticed that my three longest books are three of my all time favorites. All close to a thousand pages. “The Witching Hour “/Anne Rice, The Pillars of the Earth/Ken Follett and Swan Song/Robert McCammon.
wondering If you had read these or if it was an absolute that you don’t read books that long.

Welsh cakes ! I'd have to dollop some jam and cream on those. 650 pages, gawd. And the author's name is bigger than the book title, that always concerns me.

Such a feast to the eyes looking at those books. Sadly these subscriptions are not in India
