Ronald Malfi is fantastic- I've read 7 of his books so far and enjoyed them all! I was happy to see Ghostwritten in my first Abominable box.

I told myself not to peek...but then rationalized it by telling myself I would forget again by the time these made their way to the states. I've also only heard great things about Malfi - looks like a solid box!

I was subscribed to these guys for a while but had to stop to save funds. Their boxes are great, though, and I may start again in the new year. Without them I wouldn’t have discovered some truly excellent new horror fiction like The Loop, My Heart Is a Chainsaw, The Final Girl Support Group, and Tender Is the Flesh.

The cover of that second hand book is something hahahahaha I agree that those Nescafe coffees are a guilty pleasure! I think it will pair nicely with the Borders biscuits!

The Ronald Malfi book was one I was planning to buy so was really happy to get it! I recently read Black Mouth which I really enjoyed and have a few other books of his on my shelf to be read. Not sure about the other book, but will give it a try! I got Pine by Francine Toon as my mystery book, which is also a book I had my eye on as I have been enjoying folk horror lately. Also, love the Borders biscuits!

Hmm, horror adjacent new release...it's either the Matthew Perry autobiography or the new Alien book.

I always like your unboxings because they play out like a mystery. In a few weeks I'll watch Harpies in the Trees open hers and see what the German custom's office has torn into or lost entirely from her subscription box.

Yeah I'm interested in reading the malfi, the thriller isn't my kind of thing either but happy to give it a go, and my mystery book was Erebus by Shaun hutson which I was pretty pleased with. Siân 💚

The Ronald Malfi book is superb. Just finished it this week and loved all four novellas. - all completely different and all reminiscent of old school horror with none of the problematic aspects.
