Ever since that time, Eren kept saying that he will kill every last titan, hence wanting to create a world without titans. So, the biggest core motivation of Eren is not the existence of Mikasa or Historia or Armin but to help Ymir Fritz. Though she had the power to settle things all by herself, she couldn't not just because of her love for the king ,but also because she was getting confused and paranoid because founding titan is the co-ordinate where all paths converge. We all know, Ymir deserved freedom, even after dying she was not free, so she found a chance in Eren, and actually it helped both Eren and Ymir, if Ymir didn't showed the message to Eren, then believe me Eren would have died somewhere at a point, plus he got the founding titan's power in exchange so what's bad, atleast I think it is wrong to call it manipulation
