Flaxseeds, Omega-3 High Fiber Food Source Good for Bowel Regularity

Показать описание
Flaxseeds are nutritionally valued as a nourishing dietary superfood due to their particularly high amount of omega-3's, fiber and lignan content, ranking #1 in all three categories for any vegan food source. Flax seeds, with their unique concentrated dietary fiber profile, act as a natural gentle laxative that simultaneously helps to soothe intestinal inflammation and related conditions.

The whole seeds should never be consumed straight by the handful, but are either soaked, to release their beneficial mucilage and further blended or likewise ground as a type of flour, frequently referred to as "flax meal". Learn more about ALA and flax as a source of phytoestrogens, potentially beneficial for menopause symptoms.

I was taking it for my cholesterol many years ago .soaked in water and keep it in the fridge, in the morning two spoon with my oatmeal. For years, one day at 54 years old I got a regular period . Doctors don’t believe in what happened, I made all kind of test, every thing came negative . I recommend it to all . Full of estrogen.good luck to all who needs it . Today I am 74 I think I am going back to it .

Around 1:40, the narrator stated flax seeds "are composed of" 32% fiber and 3% carbs. That is not what those numbers mean. Those numbers are the percentage of the specified nutrient recommended to be consumed in a 2000 calorie diet. "Composed of" ... Huge misconception.

I used to put flax meal in my horse's feed to make him shine. It does the same for us.

My grandma gives me this when I do not get period on time. Works like wonder! She makes Kheer out of this. This is used in India from ages!

flax seeds should be ground or i think soaking them helps because your stomach acid will not break down the outer shell, and there will pass right through your system. a food processor can be used to break them down or a coffee grinder works well.

There is actually good evidence that flax baked in bread for example can increase the hypocholesterolemic properties, likely by making some of the phytochemicals more bioavailable. So raw and cooked can both be good :)

As with all seeds and nuts, you need to soak flax seeds to remove toxins and the phytates, etc in their exterior cover. Soaking is superior to grinding them.

I started eating the Whole, Organic, Flaxseed and I made a VIDEO ON YOUTUBE about it because I felt like a POWERHOUSE both days at the GYM after eating it on ENGLISH MUFFINS WITH ALMOND BUTTER HONEY for BREAKFAST. I had huge POOPS after the GYM but It cleaned my BODY FROM THE INSIDE OUT AND made my eyes FEEL BETTER as I AM RECOVERING from an UPPER AND LOWER BLEPHAROPLASTY. I LOVE FLAX SEED!

I toss into my green smoothies a tablespoon or two of dry unwashed seeds (flax/chia/quinoa/hemp/etc). Is this ok?

People, you didn't say one single word I couldn't find on any book worth reading. I was looking for ways to consume seeds that my organism can absorb and utilize, because unless taken in respect to natural laws, laws we've totally lost in half a century of technological alienation, that most useful of seeds will just go straight through, missing out almost all of those marvellous properties you've been talking about for over 20 mins. So that, 20 mins later, I'm still looking.

New subscriber, and new to plant-based, I've bought some flax seeds but I really wasn't sure what to do with them or exactly why they are important (except for egg replacement in recipes), so thanks for this, super useful. I'm post-menopausal, so going to try to incorporate a bit of ground flax in some oats or salads :) (not a fan of smoothies)
