Tony’s look at Steve when he admitted to lying says it all. A guy his father idolised, a guy he probably unconditionally trusts and thinks is one of the few pure human beings alive, lied about his parents dying this entire time.

Tony flinching when Bucky hits his dad breaks my heart every time.

The way Tony Stark stared at Steve and Bucky just feels like you’ve been lied to and the fact that Steve knew about it also feels like you cannot trust anyone.

If non of you notice. This is exactly how Starlord felt after hearing Gamora's death. Which is why Tony wasn't that mad at him after doing that.

I think what made Tony rage was not the fact Bulky killed his parents, but the fact that Steve knew.

One of the most powerful scenes in the whole MCU.
What makes it so sad is you can't really blame anybody for this.
And RDJ's acting is bone-chilling.

Having Bucky be the one who killed Tony's parents after 8 years of mystery was genius on the Russoes behalf

I think another thing that makes Tony lose it is him realizing that Steve probably never would have told him the truth.

RDJ's acting is so incredibly subtle. The man is perfect playing the jokester that is Tony Stark, but also exceeds at playing him when all that humor of his just ends.

This scene is so good. Tony watching intently while Steve looks at Tony. Steve knows and is waiting for Tony’s reaction. The whole scene is brilliantly acted.

The lines in this movie and the non-action acting scenes such as this is what made Civil War my favorite in the MCU. The look of rage, sorrow and betrayal on Tony’s face said so much. In their fight scene later, when Cap says “he’s my friend” and Tony responds “so was I” that hit deep. To me, Zemo was a huge part in Thanos winning in Infinity War having driven the Avengers apart.

Caps face when he hears “I lost everyone” a look which shows empathy and how he relates the situation

I miss when the MCU was like this. Really made me feel for the fractured bond between Tony and Cap.

When Tony says I know that road, it speaks a lot! Probably how many times he went there after his parents death trying to figure out the exact reason of their car crush

I knew Bucky was a victim and cap was right but I still wanted Tony to kill Bucky in this particular scene. Because this is exactly what makes us human and whatever Tony was doing is exactly what a normal human would do. Maybe this is why we love ironman because it is perfectly human.

I will say it once again, Steve is the reason why the Avengers broke up. The final nail in the coffin was Steve lying to Tony. Right after watching Bucky kill his parents Tony rushed him. Tony's helmet was still down, and Steve was able to hold him back. In that moment you can see in his face how emotional he is, but he is still being reasonable. He looks to Steve, a man he and his father considered a friend and asks him if he knew. Steve fearing for Bucky lies, Tony calls him on it, and then he tells him the truth. In that exact moment Tony's faith and truth in Steve is shattered. He takes a moment, reconciles what he feels he needs to do because he can no longer trust his moral compass. That's he knocks Steve away, puts his helmet on, and tries to kill Bucky for his parents and for himself.

The fact that Steve let it play thru till the end is the issue. If he had destroyed the tv the second Bucky pulled up on his motorcycle he would have at least had Tony question him. Then he could explain hydra and the brain washing. But letting Tony watch Bucky literally choke the life out of his mom…I mean what reaction did he expect Tony to have?

There's a thing iron man says that completely makes me agree with him, he said I don't care he killed my mom, that shit was powerful but that also means that Tony right there just admitted that he understands he was controlled but knows that this person this thing killed his mom so he doesn't care he gave into his desire to kill him and I love that people to actually give into there rage

Zemo fulfillied his mission.... When he gave this words to cap... He wants to see an empire fall....he made the avengers fight each other and teared them apart.... What a great villain
