I always liked that Tony looks back at Nebula when Steve escorts him away. It’s like he’s wondering if she’s gonna be okay on her own for a while, like he wasn’t the one dying of hunger. Tony’s really changed.

I never noticed before how much this scene is a call back to the first Iron Man movie where Tony was brought home.

This entire scene was heartbreaking. Tony feeling immense guilt about losing Peter. Then asking Cap if Pepper is still around. Pepper was probably the only thing that kept him in survival mode for the weeks he drifted in space. Then you have Rocket comforting Nebula because he pretty much has nothing on Earth and lost his whole team, and Nebula having lost her sister.

That scene where Tony is sitting down and a picture of Spider-Man comes up right in front of him. That look of just pure defeat and devastation killed me 😔

Steve running up to Tony, that was beautiful, even though they have fallen out, they still have each other’s backs and care about each other

After he says “I lost the kid” and he says “is uhh” then pepper shows up and he is relieved shows that even after losing Peter he was worried he lost pepper too which would have truly devastated him

The "maybe I am" line is so underrated. I used to hate the build a bear line because it felt too "quipy" in such a serious moment but it really illustrates how hurt Rocket is. He normally starts screaming or physically assaulting anyone whom he thinks is making fun of his appearance or species. This has been a constant reaction from him, throughout all the movies. But the Build A Bear line shows in this moment that Rocket is truly devastated and in no mood to argue or yell. He's just completely and utterly broken.

Rocket's low key acceptance that he is a build-a-bear is praiseworthy.

I always felt worse for Nebula here than I did for Tony. I get that the movie is about him and that his losses were tremendous, but when he gets home, there's an entire entourage waiting for him. His wife, several of his friends and even an old rival. All there for Tony. Who waits for Nebula on Earth? No one except Rocket, because all the others are gone. That's it. One person. And she wasn't even sure he'd be there. For all she knew, all her friends got snapped, wherever they were. I'm glad they stopped to show them supporting each other for a few seconds. It was very touching and thoughtful to include her, when the spotlight is so obviously drawn away from them in this movie.

After Stark says he “Couldn’t stop him” his second sentence wasn’t asking if pepper survived but “I lost the kid”. Peter was that important to him🥲🥲🥲

I always loved that even though they were on bad terms, Cap still ran to Tony to help him and Tony accepted his help. Ego's at this moment were pushed aside and the friendship came back to life for a brief moment.

Avengers Endgame One of my most unforgettable theatre experiences of all time

0:48 God it hurts so much to think about the fact that as far as we know this is the first time Steve and Tony see each other after Civil War. The last time they were this close together Steve had driven his shield into Tony's reactor and both of them left each other absolutely devastated mentally and physically.
This is the first time after that, and here Steve runs to Tony, holds him up, and Tony leans on him and accepts his comfort. Really shows how much Steve still cared for Tony.

When you lose everything, you realize real quick that you're going to need what you have left. The pain Tony exhibits in this scene is very real. But I think Rocket and Nebula comforting eachother is what embodies that best. In an instant, they became the closest thing to family. It's hard to watch two characters share in their pain so heavily, they have to look to eachother for support despite not being close.

Notice how Rocket didn't rebut what Tony told him, clearly shows how deep in anguish they all are.

It says a lot about how depressed Rocket is feeling when Tony calls him a build-a-bear and Rocket doesn’t even try to snark back or rise to the taunt.
