I’m nineteen and converted to Catholicism about over a year ago. I wasn’t raised religious, yet started exploring Christianity from a Protestant angle that was aggressively anti-catholic. I had an atheist phase, started to rediscover Christianity, this time in the fullness of the faith found in Catholicism. Glad you came home, brother!

I am a protestant and recently read about the miracle of Lanciano and it absolutely captivated me! I am now doing research into the other teachings of the Catholic Church.

I was an atheist until I was 20. At 20, I had a dream that proved to me Christianity was true and I became a Seventh-day Adventist. 11 years later I converted to Catholic. God is good.

I have had a similar experience. I came late into the church and finally, influenced by the teachings of Derek Prince, got baptized last summer in a nondenominational Church of Christ. I, like you, believe in the real presence of Christ in the eucharist. Just a month or two after, l was drawn to Mary and the rosary, the saints (especially Padre Pio and St. Therese de Lisieux) and chaplet of divine mercy. So i was worshipping in a protestant church while praying the rosary and the chaplet of Divine Mercy daily 😅. I realized that l am a catholic at heart and started RCIA classes last October and was confirmed this Easter. I now attend Latin Mass weekly and love it. I pray that Christians soon unite into the one true, catholic and apostolic church that Jesus Himself founded.

When i had my miracle with Jesus and the Eucharist..i was already 36 years old and i felt like 35 years was robbed from me of the most beautiful thing..to adore Jesus every sunday on the Eucharist..nobody told me Jesus is real and not just faith..He is more than real than any material things..Jesus is my Lord my Saviour and my King..

When I heard that you converted to Catholicism and were studying to be a nurse, I had so much respect for you. I saw how nurses took care of my mom in her last days and thought that these folks were saints. May God bless you in your journey and help you in your service to the sick. Angels walk among us.

I came to recognize Christ in my life when I was around 23 years old. I remained Catholic, but for the longest time I thought that the best teaching was in the Protestant world. I consumed the Bible and biblical studies through the Protestant/evangelical world. Around the age of 40 I started to recognize the teachings of the early church and realized what I had been missing. There was so much great teaching available within the Catholic Church. How I had missed it for all those early years I don’t know, but I did. Here’s the biggest difference for me. Often the evangelical world keeps you at the foot of the cross. You’re forgiven, was what they always pointed out, but there was more. Our journey starts at the foot of the cross and then we must trek through the desert to get to the promised land. It’s in that journey that God wants to teach us, change us and sanctify us so that we can become who we’re meant to be.

I would love to hear the story of your confirmation Saint. I am a 56 year old Protestant convert currently going through RCIA. I prayed for a couple weeks for guidance on selecting my confirmation Saint. I felt as if I wasn’t being heard. Studying all the different saints, I decided on Saint Lawrence. Although I didn’t feel a solid connection, I liked his style. Let me preface what happened next with two things. One I was Protestant, so Saints were a new thing. Two, I was learning about male saints. Now, the early morning hours of this past January 7th I heard a voice say twice to me (because I seemed confused)………Saint Helena. I have never heard of this Saint and wasn’t sure if there actually was one. At 5 am I’m looking up Saint Helena and the hair stood up on my neck. There she was. She is credited for finding the cross that Christ was crucified on and is the patron saint of converts. So just because you feel you aren’t being heard doesn’t mean you won’t receive an answer. God bless you.

I’m going through something similar right now! A longing for the Eucharist, I think it’s inevitable that I will become catholic :)

Thank you. Keep moving forward. Grew up as a Catholic, Left for a large Evangelical Church in South Barrington, Illinois for 13 years. Teaching and worship were wonderful. Went through some personal difficulties, and returned to a Franciscan Church in Downtown Chicago, and all the teaching drew me to a deep relationship with Christ and the Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. Now Have peace. You are a lovely young man. So proud of you.

Fellow convert here. Spent 20 years in the Methodist who is splitting over homosexuality issues - and really because they have no desire to get to God’s Truth on this and other issues.

Methodism, Covid, BLM, trans movement converted me to be Catholic!!!

God bless you! Thank you for sharing your beautiful and honest journey. I’ve learned so much from Scott Hahn, Pints with Aquinas, and Catholic Answers. We live in a time where there’s so many opportunities to learn about our faith. Stay strong and on fire!

I love to listen to conversion stories because being a cradle catholic myself, sometimes I lose sight of the richness and treasures of the church(especially the sacraments). As they say- familiarity breeds contempt😢… thankYOU for sharing.(loved the Easter part btw😂) Indeed it’s a journey ❤🙏🏼 stay blessed

Great hearing your testimony! I’m a revert to the Church after wondering in Protestantism for 26 years. So glad to be home!

Indeed...a beautiful testimony of your journey back to the Church that Christ founded....A cradle Catholic here, always found peace and overwhelming joy after receiving Jesus through the Holy Eucharist...but what got me to see the real beauty of my faith is Scott Hahn's "Supper of the Lamb". Very much recommended to anyone wanting to know more about the faith:)
