I believe Jesus Christ was busy, and HE knows the power HE contained and HE knew that he can bring Lazarus back at anytime and anyone else up at anytime.But us humans did not know that causing panic, because we are human. God is powerful and all. Respect HIM and his time, Amen.

He was talking to those eating people thinking they would take their life force.
Jesus was calling cannibals to repentance as well.

Jesus waited 4 days for this reason.
Until Jesus came in the 4000th year and until he came there was no resurrection. 1 day for 1000 years.
This reveled to me in prayer.

Also just as Yeshua first miracle was turning water into wine. He is the living water and the wine. Many of the miracles He performed was conquering the flesh.just as our bodies work with things like sickness and diseases, once we get chicken pox and heal our bodies know how to defeat the sickness as it has overcame it once before. So my personal belief is Jesus overcame Death with lazareth death of 3 days and 3 nights. Preparing His own body for His Resurrection after 3days and 3 nights Conquering Sin, Death, Hell and the Grave

I thought it had too do with 3 days of darkness and the 4th is your new light? Or needing the enemy too have room too persecute so the soul could be lifted? But this answer you gave is so much simpler
