I’m British and I also DO NOT store eggs in the fridge. Maybe it’s European? Also the shops don’t store them in the fridge either.

Germans do store eggs in the refrigerator but they're not refrigerated in the shop because they actually don't need to be. Concerning the narrow streets: What did you expect? Towns that were built many hundred years ago are built to accommodate the conditions back then, which was people mainly walking or maybe riding. As they weren't time travelers, they didn't know Americans in big SUVs would want to drive everywhere one day because they're not used to walking a few kilometers.

Eggs have a natural protective layer so you don't need to store theym in the fridge unless you clean them in a factory like in the north america.

Eggs should be stored in the fridge at home but can be kept on shelves in the supermarket as the temperature is usually low there. McDonald's coffee in Italy?! Like come on 😅

The reason why eggs are not placed in fridge in supermarkets in Italy, Europe or many parts of the world is because eggs are not pre washed. in North america eggs are pre washed removing the natural protective layer so they need to be refrigerated. Anyway when italians go home from the supermarkets put rhe eggs in the fridge lol

If supermarket refrigerates eggs, you took those and you'll take 1/2hour to put in YOUR refrigerator.... Investigate and try to understand...
