Hi! A vietnamese here:D, I think some of the things u said are not quite right
1: we do have a drinking age, it is 18 but some store won't asked for ur ID 😅
2: Not all shop will have a tobacco pipe like u see in this video, mostly on the street cafe in Ha Noi but In HCM city, u will barely see shop having them
3: we do have traffic's light!! I think the place u went to has very small streets connecting to each other so there aren't that many traffic light. Same goes to Da Lat ! But if u go on a huge streets, u will def find tons of traffics light
4: the last one is correct tho and despite being a vietnamese, I'm still terrified of passing the street😭 (altho some people will not be kind to let u pass btw)

I was adopted in Vietnam at a young age, the family that adopted brought me back to their country UK Liverpool and I love it. I’d like to see my home country

Firstly, the legal drinking age in Vietnam is from 18, same as most of the country. As a Nomad/Traveler, you should not have spread such wrong information. If you mean the ability to be able to purchase alcohol in Vietnam, it is indeed in an easier side if an underage purchase in some local convenient shop. But it doesn't mean it is legal and we allow and influence underage to drink.

Secondly, why did you say we hardly have ANY traffic lights or traffic rules? Whereas the footage of this video, I assume you mean in Hanoi, specifically Pho Co, in which that part is built from the 11th Century and was renovated in French colonization. It has approximately 76 tiny 76 streets, which resulted in not many traffic lights being made. But everywhere else, we have traffic lights, we have traffic rules.

Europe had not drinking age also in my childhood and we were allowed to drink water mixed with a little wine and rarely liquors because they had to be offered when we were guests.
When I was in boarding school my vigilance shared her wine with me ( one quarter of a liter per meal) because I was the head of the class
I was 10 when I bought my first beer: nobody knew that it was alcoholic and at the time was sold as a soft summer drink
Nobody in my family of six children has had the vice of drinking alcohol as adults and only my parents were heavy drinkers

hi :D a vietnamese here, number 3 has actually changed, because the police community doesn't have enough money due to not of writing up people because there aren't many rules. but now there are TONS of rules, for example, if you pass a red light you will be fined for 400$ - 800$ (20 million - 40 million vnđ). another rule is that you can only have 2 people max on a motorcycle unless they're under 6 years old, which will also fine you alot of money (idk how much). so basically vietnam is trying to be like singapore which i think is really overkill

I’m Vietnamese, number 3 I try every day. A lot of people actually hit me by a motor cycle. I’m living in district 7, HCM city.😂

There is a minimum drinking age and there are traffic rules and traffic lights, but many people ignore them.

Good advice for crossing the street though. Just don't make any sudden movements.
