It is so refreshing to unhaul some books. I really enjoyed Salt to the Sea. It was one of my favorites from last year. Braiding Sweetgrass I'd really good. I hope you can get to it this year. I reread it in November and will probably do so again this year.

Memphis is really good. Did not love Oscar wao or Middlesex. The Appeal is SO good! Also liked The Golden Couple. Loved Other Birds! I unhauled all of my Hemingway. It was so liberating!

While Justice Sleeps and the second one in the series I really liked. I listened to them and recommend the audios. The Dating Plan is cute too. The Golden Couple ended up being so so for me. Simone St. James is another author I have found I enjoy listening to. I liked the Penny/Clinton one too. 😂

Braiding Sweetgrass is a book is still a book I sometimes think about, highly recommend listening to it on audio. Robin Wall Kimmerer could read the phone book to me and I would probably give it 5 stars 😂

I believe you’re correct about The Dating Plan, but you don’t have to read the other books within the series.

I stayed up and read the DaVinci Code in one sitting. All sorts of wonderful feminist theology in there. I’d urge you to read Anne LaMott’s Rosie series. I enjoy her non-fiction and essays but love the fiction. I believe the Rosie books at least start in MN but I may be confusing them with Faith Sullivan’s books. Hard to part with friends and possible friends!

Don’t get rid of the Murdered Family or The Son! You just want to get rid of the books I give you! I’m gonna quit giving you books🤣 The Wally Lamb is about twin brothers…one is mentally ill and the other takes care of him, to the detriment of his entire life. Good limited series on Netflix…I’d watch instead of read…the actors are really good!

Hester only got 3* from me. For some reason, I resonate with Jonathan Franzen—guess I’m a navel gazer! Strongly recommend The Signature of all Things. I’m listening to Mrs. Everything right now and I really like it. It’s not what I expected. Have fun!
