I'll give you the sun is a really heart warming and important story. I don't normally read contemporary's but I absolutely fell in love with this one. This book is definitely one I'd think about keeping. 💛

An Ember in the Ashes is excellent and I’m glad you’re not contemplating unhauling it.

“They Both Die at the End” was well-done as an audiobook. There are different voice actors for each character which helped propel the story.

without merit is sooo bad imo😂 Seraphina was a let down for me personally. Wild Embers is pretty good, I feel like you'll enjoy it!

I’ll Give You the Sun is SO worth the read!! I would definitely recommend keeping it/giving it a shot

I read As You Wish last month and while it wasn't a favourite, the concept and back stories of people around the town was really interesting.

Gone Girl is REALLY good! I haven't seen the movie because I liked the book so much and figured the movie would disappoint me. It really surprised me. I hope you get to read it.

I think you might enjoy Truthwitch but I think you'll love the later books more. Truthwitch is more insta-lovey than the other books but it does also feature a really good slow burn and the female friendships are really good. If you like elemental magic too, then you'll enjoy this series.

I loved The Wrath and The Dawn, it was the only book that I genuinely enjoyed while I was in a really bad reading slump.

I loved when Books and LaLa did this challenge a few weeks ago! It seems so fun!


The Program: I read the first ~3 books and I remember it going downhill. I would like to eventually try to reread in order to finish the series but I wouldn't suggest keeping it.
Strange the Dreamer: This book is INCREDIBLE. I listened to it on audio and that was probably a bad decision, as I feel like I missed out on some of the artistry. I knew nothing going in, which was actually great. I feel like this book compares to Inkheart by Cornelia Funke, but more adult. The world building is just so fantastical and creative. It might take a while to get into it, but stick it out!


I am currently reading The Coldest Girl in Coldtown, and it is my first Holly Black book I have ever read other than the Spiderwick Chronicles when I was in elementary school. I have fallen in love with her writing style and I can't wait to read the Cruel Prince, especially after you said you enjoyed it so much!

I loved The Star Touched Queen but you might not like it if you don't like flowery writing. I have started Truthwitch and I'm loving it. It is a little tropey, but I love the female friendship in it.

The falling Kingdom is so good!! I think you should give it a chance :)

Save the Date was a very different book from the rest of Morgan Matson’s other books, so even if you didn’t love that one, I’d recommend trying a different one of hers- Since You’ve Gone is one of my favorite YA summery contemporaries. And I’ll Give You the Sun is one of my ALL TIME favorite books, but it’s not for everyone🤷🏼‍♀️
Also, Falling Kingdoms is not the *best* book series ever, but it’s really fun, entertaining, and easy to read if you’re in the mood for a trashy GoT-like fantasy!
