Raising my own child to trust and follow Jesus Christ is my most important desire and prayer. I want him to know that he will never walk alone, there will always be a guiding Light in his life, that he can be strong in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I would give anything and everything that he might know, as his parents know, where he can look for a remission of his sins and find peace. That we can be a forever family in the presence of our loving Heavenly Father.

As a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I don't feel like a Christian in the sense of identifying with the tradition of Christianity or with those therein. It is babel. I feel like a man raised from the prison of the dead and restored to life in the living God. And I see that my true life is in the living God rather than in myself or in my life alone. So that my life is dead, and I am reborn or resurrected in a sense. But that is in owing to the charity and divinity of the living God. I am nobody, and I am everyone. So I walk thru the dreams of men. They are blind to the work of God. They awake in the morning and remember their life and see that their dreams in the aforenight were not to live. But then they say that it is deluded to be awoken to life in God, or that the former should pass away like a dream. They repeat it every day of their lives and mock the concept as if it were a stranger. Traditional Christianity is a marketplace of counterfeiters in worship of an image. I am not that.

LDS is non-Nicene Christianity and therefore not mainstream compared with most Christian denominations, but it is still Christianity. This is what neutral, academic scholars would say, at least. Those denying LDS are Christians usually do so from a narrow position of their beliefs, not an objective view.

From a theological and christological perspective, if Mormonism is Christian, Islam should also be considered Christian. The differences in theology and Christology are at about the same level.
