How to Enable Administrator Login Account in Windows 7

Usually Admin Account is disable in Windows 7, one must Enable this account to view Administrator Login Option along with other available accounts at the time of Login.

You can do this by Command Prompt (cmd). You just need to type:
net user administrator /active:yes (for enabling)
net user administrator /active:no (for disabling)
Remember to run command prompt as administrator.

Thanks. Worked. It might help however to emphasize the proper spaces in the command line for folks unfamiliar with commands. I initially missed the space before the /

This does not seem to work with windows 7 professional. I get the error message "The password does not meet the password policy requirements. Check the minimum password length, password complexity and password history requirements". Please help if you can.

I have Windows 7 Starter.  I tried the instructions above and didn't get the administrative account to come up after I logged on again.  I tried a couple of times and now whenever I try it, the command prompt comes up as "C:\Users\Jeanette" instead of the one shown in the video.  What's happening?  Could my account already be the administrative account?

I used this method for a lot of times. Every time the CMD told me "successful". But any account, whether the old one (also should be administrator), or the new one "administrator", neither has the real right of administrator. Could you please tell me why?

Hi and thanks for this..  can you tell me how I get all my users full access to all files/folders and programs and set up the desk tops to be the same?  As when I switch to the new user my music/pictures and files are not there and also none of the short cuts for my programs
