My aunt is a flight attendant for Aisana Airlines and ya, its definitely a BIG deal. She's been one since the early 2000's, and I remember her stressing so much about her weight after having my two cousins bc they need to keep a certain appearance.
It was always cool watching her getting ready in the mornings when I would stay with her when I would go back and stay in Korea, slicking her hair back super neatly into her bun and putting her tights then uniform on, then leaving the home with her lil carry on.
She is truly beautiful and I'm sad she had/has to ever feel insecure in any way bc of the high standards of being a flight attendant in Korea!

I was recently watching a show of chungsub from btob name changing majors. It had a episode where chungsub goes to a flight attendant major I forgot the name of that university but the people he interviewed said it is a very famous university for becoming flight attendant. That major had a whole airplane’s inside class room.

I have the upmost respect for them! Very professional and kind. Once there was incident with a baby on the plane. The mother was in tears, and the baby was not breathing! It was very nerve wracking but the flight attendants handle it well. They called for the doctor on the plane and took care of the baby

I had a flight from South Korea to Atlanta using Korean Air and it's really the best experience ever.
The flight attendances were so nice and helpful.
When a girl in front of my seat threw up, they helped the girl's mom clean the area and even apologized to us.
Their food was also good. Not the best but it's clearly better than most
