This saved my ass doing all the rotor screws on a brake job. Just make sure it’s going the right way haha

There’s no such thing as buying one item at harbor freight

I just got one of these (different brand). It's pretty embarrassing to think back on all the fasteners I have borked over the years, and often the resulting shop bills, all for lack of a $20 tool. They work great!

I tried to use that one and the bit snapped in my rotor screw and got stuck and needed a drill.

Tool works. Bits that come with it - trash

Push your body weight in with an impact wrench, came out every time for me since I started doing that.

Yeah, saved me to remove shroud from a/c on my travel trailer. I'm sure it will come handy on motorcycles as well.

Yeah I have a impact bit for my air hammer it has taken out rounded Phillips heads

Get a 3/8 extension and a 3lb hammer. Give that screw a good three whacks. She'll come out with a screw driver.

Bearing in mind, if that’s a Japanese motorcycle you’ll need to be using JIS impact bits and a JIS screwdriver

Looks like you need JIS industrial standard bits.

I just hit the screwdriver or use a air hammer with Philips bit

Does anyone have a recommendation for replacement bits for that impact screwdriver? because I just bought it, but I already mangled the bit of the long ph3 bit. The tool works, it is just the cheap bits that suck.

Hey man those screws are hard to get out because those aren’t Philips heads(american) those are “Japanese industrial screws” those screw heads are complete different and it’s required for this type of tool set or the any “Japanese industrial screwdriver” to be able to remove them 🤘🏽 I work on Hondas so I had to buy a different one but same tool for my rotors since those are held with those screws🙌🏽

Those impact drivers are good but if you are holding an eletric impact down hard enough like you should you won't strip out the screw you might break the bit if you have enough power and sure you can round them off but that's mostly if there is already damage or something

Aren’t those JIS? (Japanese industrial standard)

I bought the same set and the edges of the bits broke😢I an sure in most situations they work great but I was gettin rotor set screws off of a 02 Honda and those shiny bits just were just not enough.

They're probably JIS screws, not phillips.

If you are rounding out Philips #3 fasteners with a cordless impact driver, your technique is either trash or you are using a worn out bit. A Philips 1 or 2, yeah those cam out very easily. But I could sit there and impact a Philips #3 with my m18 gen 4 until the battery dies and not damage it.

Squirt the hell out of it with penetrating oil also.
